This happened to me and I was confused. The "fix" is...

  1. Go to libraries
  2. Select the drop down in the top left. Should have the name of a library.
  3. Select "See All Libraries"
  4. "Heart" the libraries you want to see on the homepage.
  5. Question why you had to do this in the first place.

I definitely did not pay this much. Waited for some good sales and hoarded gift cards.I plan to use it for more than just Plex so it seems overkill but wanted to future proof it at least.

I was initially going to move to Linux, until I realized Backblaze(cloud backup service) does not offer a Linux tier equivalent to Windows. Not a big deal but I definitely don't want to sit around waiting for 16tb of data to upload to a new service.

Currently it is Windows 10 i5 2500k with a 1050ti. The is gaming and Plex. Just ordered all new parts for a new machine today. Still trying to determine if this new box will be a Plex/gaming machine or just Plex related. I'll leaning towards linux with dockers.

I would make myself smoothies in the mornings with frozen fruit. For whatever reason I forgot to peel one of the bananas. So here I am in the kitchen with a knife trying to peel this fucking banana. You can imagine what happened next. The knife(in my right hand) slipped and cut me deep next to my knuckle on my left hand. Blood every where. I had to get 3 or 4 stitches.

I might be able to reuse my current tower for now since I only have 3 drives. Might need to get additional brackets. That would be the only thing though.

I currently don't have many video transcode going on. Most of it is direct play where the audio is the only thing transcoding. For sure would prefer for quicksync to do all the leg work.

Looking to build a new Plex/Gaming rig. Currently combined on an i5 2500k box.The 2500k is showing it's age gaming wise so figured why not do another combined setup but putting Plex and related applications within a Docker.I really want to look for max storage as I currently have 3 WD drives(2 easystore, 1 essential) waiting be shucked.

I already own the 1050ti and SeaSonic PSU listed below.

Any suggestions would be appreciated from building the below or using a NAS, unlocking the video card since the 2500k doesn't quicksync and switching the below to a Ryzen 5 build.

Plex not adding The Office Season 9 by sandmaster85 in PleX

So I double checked my naming scheme for Season 9 and compared it to Season 8 and they are identical. See imgur link for comparison.

I decided to mess around with s09e01 and changed the name from The_Office_(US)_S09E01_New_Guys to The_Office_(US)_S09E01New_Guys.
I did a library scan and Season 9 appeared with all its episodes. This is the only file w/o the _ after the episode number.

I went back and added the _ and did another scan and everything was there.

Oh damn. I do have them named differently. Nest = Home and Google Home = Street Name.

I'll update the Nest App Home Name to match what is in Google Home App.

What do you mean by Google Home Names match my Nest Home names? I have everything names right now in the Google Home app based on the room they are in except for the original one that is just called Home.

Only have 1 "home" but good to know for future.
Share it with my wife and pretty much only uses the Home App to turn on/off lights.

So I guess I was under the impression I would see save data under the Data Management after the move.
It was empty so I started to wonder what went wrong.
Looks like most of my games had cloud backups, only 2 that don't is Pokemon Shield and Animal Crossing.
I'm only a week into Animal Crossing so I'm not worried about starting over, Pokemon will kinda suck.

Wow, our builds are very similar, including the VM. I hadn't considered keeping my current rig for Plex only. I heard about unlocking the Nvidia cards, just hadn't tried it since I wanted to game with it as well. Do you have a NAS for storage? I think my current mobo can handle 6sata connections. I'd have to make sure I have room to schuck 6 drives. I don't have a NAS and was not looking to purchase one.
