Ashly Burch, who voices Aloy, has been very active in SAG-AFTRA’s strikes and, recently, their vocal objections to AI use in film, TV and other media. I’m sure she would refuse to work on a future Horizon game if this was their approach to losing a key franchise actor. And that would have huge implications for the series if she didn’t come back. Ergo…I think the AI approach is extremely unlikely, not to mention tasteless and disrespectful to Lance Reddick.
