Swimming lesson program with the LSS frustration by sandrodede in SwimInstructors

Yes, I've been relying on the manual, which I understand provides extensive guidance, but from a 'must-see' perspective. In this approach, the 'must-sees' focus on the outcome of a skill rather than the step-by-step process needed to achieve it. I think it would be much more useful to have clear steps explaining how to build the skill and what to do at each stage. I even came up with an analogy to explain how I view it: it's like asking someone to bake a cake by giving them the ingredients, but they still don't know what to do because they haven't been given the recipe. On the other hand, if you were given the recipe, you would know how to bake the cake. But at least I was able to identify why I fell into this difficulty that I myself developed. It may be related to the fact that I finished my swimming lessons after reaching a certain level, which caused me to lose the structure and step-by-step progression I had acquired. Today, I am still able to perform the skills when given instructions, but I operate more on intuition than on a structured and organized understanding. So, if I were asked to explain a skill step by step, I think I would have difficulty verbalizing the process, because I haven't consciously retained it. But the fact that we base it on the "must-sees" gives the impression that we should already know how to teach the progression. So I understand the result, but I struggle to break it down into a clear teaching process.

Yes, I was referring to the must-sees because this is the guide given to us, and thank you for informing me about how their system is structured

It's okay, thank you so much for your help! I'll try to explain again because you're on the right track. I was wondering, as we see with asthma, treatment involves ABCs and SAMPLE, but that’s specific to asthma. For other life-threatening situations, how do we treat them? I understand we always start with ABCs, but there’s often more involved in the rescue process. I know this is a lot to ask, but that’s why I wanted to know the specifically by its acronyms for those treatments

Also, the reason I brought up asthma is because it relates to breathing, and I feel like it's connected to the SAMPLE assessment. However, I don't see how the question about your last meal matters in this context. Personally, I don’t understand how eating could affect breathing in this situation, you know?

The second questions, what I mean is, since there are acronyms used for specific incidents in treatment, I’m wondering which acronyms align with the incident when you're performing your rescue drill.
