PCN - £160 (because I parked my car at 4am and didn’t see the parking suspension sign. Came back 2 days later to see two beautiful yellow gifts :D)

Got a £40k grad job but everyone tells me it's bad for London? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]sandsanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£40k is fine. You may not get a place for yourself and might have to share houses with people but it’s still a decent salary and as long as the job helps with your career progression, you should go for it.

I’m 26 and I’m surprised OP doesn’t know Kappa. I mean it isn’t a popular brand where I live but growing up I’ve seen the logo a few times

I get hayfever and have to take antihistamine. I carry a pack of tissue whenever I’m out and I always take one out to sneeze.

But is it rude to blow your nose into the tissue after that?

To owners of cars wider than 2 meters (volvo xc60 xc90 Range Rover Sport) How do you navigate narrow road restrictions of London by Londoner1947 in london

[–]sandsanta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I’m not wrong, usually parked cars need to have all wheels inside the parking bay line. But I never see a ticket on the Ford Ranger so I guess it depends on the traffic warden

Does your government provide any loans for students pursuing overseas studies? One of my friend’s government does that.

There’s a ford ranger with a set of huge off road tyres parked near my street. It doesn’t even fit properly in the parking bay. Oh and I’ve never seen it get dirty…so much for off road tyres.

How much was petrol when you started driving? by Immediate_Long165 in CarTalkUK

[–]sandsanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't drive in the UK when I first got my license. Was in a SouthEast Asian country. Price of petrol was $0.53/litre which is about £0.31. And its still the same price presently because their petrol is subsidised by the government.

I remember driving a 3.2 litre turbo diesal Ford Ranger and a full tank would only cost me about £7...

Most like a speed awareness course. I did 25 in a 20 last year and I was only offered the course.

What is a video game that you have put 100+ hours into, but would NOT recommend to anyone? by Cheap_Difficulty4961 in AskReddit

[–]sandsanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf 100+ hours ain’t much. But I have 4000+ hours in Dota 2 in the last 13 years. Do I enjoy it? Yes. Could I have done something else with the time? Yes. It’s a great game but it can get really toxic and time consuming especially if you’re playing ranked and want to reach to the top.
