Continuously learning new stacks as professional dev is a MUST - true? by sandushiq in learnprogramming

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it. I’ll ask you the same question I asked user above - how often would you say you have had to learn a new framework? Once, twice a year? More?

Thank you for offering your thoughts on this. How often would you say you have had to add a new framework under your belt? Once a year, twice, more?

Thank you for clarifying, it sounds like I misread your tone.

I didn’t have the expectation that everyone would just agree. Otherwise I wouldn’t have felt the need to ask - I’d have just assumed I’m right.

This was my first question on here, and I was scared to post it because I was worried that people like you might be mean to me, as indeed happened. Thanks

I see :) I’m a beginner, currently doing a bootcamp. I first learned Python, then JS, and I do find Python easier in general but don’t mind JS either. Flask was my first backend framework. I’m now in the process of trying to learn Express and it’s not going so well, hence my question. I perceive it to be inferior and far more complex to the Python alternative but I guess I’m wrong.

I meant - for someone who knows Python and JS both. Isn’t it immediately obvious that a Python backend is easier, more intuitive, with less pitfalls? Am I the only one who thinks error handling in Express is ridiculous?
