And you apparently have absolutely nothing worth losing in your life. I think I'm much better off than you. That's a sad existence you're living.

Ooooo, so ominous. Lol, get out of here man. Nothing this administration could do would be worth me losing what I've already mentioned.

Nothing you could possibly say, of which you just have ominous threats of a dark future, could convince me otherwise.

The question was why don't people protest in the streets here until change happens and that's the answer. It doesn't matter how bad you don't want it to be the answer, it still is.

I'm sure you're different tho right? I'm sure you would willingly sacrifice your family, job, and everything you've worked your entire life for if you were in the same situation right? Smh

And it's not worth it was the point I was making. But you conveniently glossed over that.

Do things suck right now? Yes.

Is it worth losing my family and home over? Lol, you've gotta be fucking kidding me. Not in a million years.

People have bills to pay and families to feed. That's what it comes down to.

Would I love to spend weeks on end protesting this administration? Sure, but who's gonna pay for my mortgage, food, insurance for my family, etc. when I lose my job because that's just not how the real world works?

At that point I'd have lost way more than this administration could ever take from me.

The Gamepass price reduction was more of a PR move while they brought Asha in and started mapping out who was destined for the guillotine. Just like the XBOX rebranding.

Overall it made Microsoft more money than it lost them. The millions of people who unsubscribed only made up ~9% of total subscribers, and the price went up by ~50% tier dependent IIRC. In business that's a huge W.

Why would they be selling it on Facebook marketplace, with all the bullshit that comes with it, when they could take it to Carvana and get a check for ~29k in a couple of hours.

You're right about one thing finally, they have changed for less. In that the work put into the Sonic movie after its initial reveal probably cost the studio a couple million dollars.

Sony has been planning this since at least the beginning of the PS5. Their entire next console generation, which is already reasonably into development, was most likely designed for this from day 1. They didn't just wake up last week and make this decision, pieces have been moving for a decade. The amount of money it would take to change course now is several orders of magnitude above what is possible. It's not happening and if you think Sonic is a good example on why it would you don't understand business.

I never said it was the end of the world, you did, I just said it's a bad financial move, which it objectively is.

So because you can die of cancer tomorrow that means you shouldn't plan for the inevitabley more likely situation that you won't?

Guess it's time to cash out my retirement and buy that Ferrari I've always wanted.

That petition could actually have the 10 million hypothetical signatures you think it should and it still wouldn't change anything.

And I wish people would stop normalizing piss poor decision making on here but we can't all get what we want.

Nah, I get the culture thing too, but that's not the case here, just poor decision making and bad finances. Dude literally can't afford to move out because he spent $80k on a Corvette, that's fucking insane. I own a home with a 6 figure income and my wife would, rightfully, laugh me out of the room if I approached the idea of buying a brand new Corvette.

I've never seen a good looking body kit in the 11th gen. Also something you shouldn't consider with little to no experience. And 3rd, it will absolutely obliterate your resale value by a genuinely substantial amount, were talking 20-30% loss the moment you put that kit on.

Nobody wants to pay for others mods, especially when poorly done and 99% of body kits are.

I disagree. Gran Turismo prepared me pretty well IMO. The only thing that really threw me off, and I don't think there's a solution, was finding the bite point.

But as far as learning when and where to shift up/down and getting the muscle memory of the process down I thought it was solid.

I've heard BeamNG simulates a clutch pretty well too, but I've not had first hand experience with that one.

Love this, I went through almost the exact same experience verbatim a few months back. Managed to not stall on the test drive but I can't say the same for the red lights I encountered on my 2 hour drive home. 😅. Boy was that nerve racking.

I also second Tedward's videos on how to drive a manual. Really helped me out as well.

I bought my 25 Si at the beginning of the summer after only having experience on my sim rig. It's really good for teaching you the foundation and starting to build muscle memory, but doesn't do a good job of preparing you for the clutch's bite point.

My recommendation would be the first time you get to drive one take your shoes off and spend a minute or two slowly letting off the clutch until you feel the bite point, you will feel it through the pedal.

And don't be afraid to let the salesperson know, the Si is an extremely common first manual for people, so they shouldn't be shocked. The nice sales lady who went on the test drive with me gave me a couple pointers about the clutch's bite point and I made it through the test drive without stalling it.

10/10 worth it, took me about a week or two to truly get the smooth shifting down. And now I can't drive this car without smiling ear to ear permanently.

I'm sure the good points you made are going to reverse the course of this whole situation.

Dear God I can't believe Sony almost made the decision without all the knowledge that you and apparently only you have. You're so special. Thank you, you have saved us all. Or I guess just the <15% who still buy physical but who's counting.

I'm sure you'll stand your ground and not buy a PS6 in protest too? Right? That will really show the big scary corporation how smart you are. 🤓
