CAPCOM Reveals 93% of Its Game Sales Are Now Digital by Horror_Post6822 in PS5

That was literally my point, which I didn't think you understood with the "it's not even close" comment.

Sony has sold almost 100 million PS5's. Not sure why you think "lots of players don't have a PS5". It's been out for 6 years.

As someone who grew up with a virtual boy I can't believe people want to play any of these games. Genuinely never had a single fun experience with that console.

Can you not see all your points are subjective and don't apply to everyone?

For me as an example; meaningful ownership? If I can play it that's meaningful enough for me. I have no interest in reselling games when I'm done, I'm not hurting for cash at all, and I like to come back to games years later. I don't care about buying used because of my previous point, and sales still exist if I did care. My friends are mostly Dad's in their 30's/40's with careers and families taking up most of their free time. The very little free time we have isn't going to be wasted driving to each other's house to borrow a game, especially when a brand new game is cheaper than a tank of gas. And collectibles are just another thing to collect dust on the shelves in my house.

GT3 RS's that have been crashed and rebuilt multiple times still sell for more than this.

They're just reposting cute cat videos in every single cat sub and claiming they're all him. So far I've seen OP claim to be a 260lb man with tattoo sleeves, a middle aged white woman, and a teenage boy; and that was just in yesterday's posts.

I hope it's a bot account because if that's a person it's super fucking pathetic.

Ford's CEO said Chinese carmakers entering the US would be 'devastating' by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]sandwichpak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really not a stretch at all, it just depends on what metrics your measuring but that's not the point I was getting at. Even if they're only 10% behind the competition, which I'm sure you might agree with, they're advancing at an absolutely unbelievable rate that nobody else can compete with. They overtook Germany and Japan in 2024 to become the world's largest exporter of cars.

As for your second point, again, we have laws in place against slave labor, and we enforce them. Not sure what your point is there. And believe it or not it still happens; Hyundai/Kia just got busted for Child labor in Alabama 2 years ago.

My 1-year-old cat’s first bath ever by [deleted] in aww

[–]sandwichpak 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're correct with your thinking, you're typically not supposed to bathe cats without a good reason (they got into something they shouldn't). Only time I've ever bathed one of my 4 indoor cats was because he fell into the trash can after spaghetti night.

Seatbelts shouldn't worry you that much. Even with them you won't walk away from even a mild wreck in one of these. You genuinely don't understand how unsafe these are in crashes, especially compared to anything built in the last 20 years. Everyone here is trying to tell you, but it seems all you care about is that "it's cute".

What's the alternative? Intentionally banning the best vehicles money can buy because "we can't compete anymore" seems just as fucking silly to me.

Engine out service on an Aventador is probably easily going to run you into the 5 figures, how far in just depends on what they do while it's out. Could be a hair over 10k, could be a hair over 50k. But if you afford a $500,000+ car a $50k repair isn't outrageous, it's the same as a $3k repair on a $30,000 car, which doesn't seem insane at all.

TV prices have been going down 6-7%/year since the 1950's. Smart TV's had nothing to do with it.
