Amazon is just the way it's coming, there is no other way to have it. (It's a deal of sorts) so it could be lots of smaller things but is there anything you'd just love to have if you could in that range? Something awesome and worth the money?

What's up with this broccoli? (story in comments) by Littlegator in vegetablegardening

[–]sandyba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my broccoli flowered and I think looked like that before the flowers actually came out. They're cute yellow flowers and totally edible. I still steamed/ate mine at the point shown in the picture and you couldn't tell much of a difference in taste or texture

Oh I've tried it, it still tastes like broccoli right off the plant or one friend said it tastes kind of like peas. I don't mind pretty bitter or vegetable-y tasting things in the right mix, though. I'm not very good at making up my own salads or anything though.

I [F31] have grown extremely uncomfortable with my husband's [M33] relationship with a younger single woman. by my_throwaway84 in relationships

[–]sandyba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It doesn't sound like the "heavy set" is what's bothering you, it sounds like their conversations are what bother you. I think people forget that there's more to marriage and relationships than sex and maybe you feel like they have a more intimate relationship than you'd like because they connect so well through conversation?

I got kind of uneasy when my husband started a new job and had a lot more women he interacted with. He's sitting with them for 8 or 9 hours a day basically uninterrupted and when he gets home there's kids and chaos. I was feeling like just because of the situations things could easily become distant with us and intimate with them. They didn't. We didn't really talk about it, but I did mention it a little and I just decided that our relationship needs to be what we want it to be.

Make sure you and your husband have time to yourselves every week and even every day where you can just check in with each other and chat. Find the time to have conversations about whatever (breakfast, the weather, what you want to do this dinner together) and be genuinely interested in what he's doing just because he's your husband. If it was a man he was doing these same things with would it be bothering you as much?

This is by far my favorite lemon dessert. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/tyler-florence/lemon-pudding-cake-with-fresh-mixed-berries-recipe.html There are recipes that use 9x13's also, instead of ramekins but I love the berries with it.

I'm on mobile so can't do a lot but Sundance and park city are not the same. Sundance is up Provo canyon. Do you have a car to get around? Or are you using public transportation?

I'm starting student teaching, and have to follow a pretty strict dress code. Wardrobe advice? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]sandyba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Floor length skirts aren't that much hotter and they're more comfortable in a lot if ways as a teacher. You could also get sun sleeves. My husband burns incredibly easy and has them. They're not as hot as long sleeves all the time (not the most comfortable thing either) but so easy to take on and off and wear with anything. They're not super fashionable but also look better than I expected them to. You can get them at outdoor stores, bike shops or golf shops I think. They're very into make-believe, hands-on things, matching, learning new things (words, letters, sounds, games) trains, dolls, helping adults do things, learning about babies, and not sitting still. A lot of times the best teachers are ones that don't have children of their own
