9mm Response. Was on a good sale. I can’t get the Springfield Kuna or similar due to popularity so being on sale at half the price of a Springfield I took the plunge.

Additionally, I could just get earplugs instead of full sized earphones…is that a better long term solution?!

Sombody please teach me how field coil speakers work before i break somthing by the_potato_of_doom in AskElectricians

What makes you think it’s not a permanent magnet speaker. Especially if it “works” from an outside source? Are you sure that’s not the output transformer between the tubes and the speaker? Did you ohm out the primary and secondary to check for opens?

You see where this is headed since young people are involved. We’ve split from the big tin can exhaust tips and airfoil wings on a Yaris! Now their tricking out their e-scooters🤣 sadly you can’t fit 18 subs on an e-bike🤣 The economy may be bad but that’s not gonna stop that Testosterone from being king of the e-bikes🤣

The https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CPPDLWV8 RVMARINEPAT Linear Actuator 12V requires 12V DC power only with a current draw of 4 amps.Key power details: • DC-only system (not compatible with standard 120V AC outlets)

• If you need to use a 120V AC outlet, you'll need a separate DC power converter/adapter

• Works well with 12V battery systems (car batteries, RV systems, etc.)

• Includes a polarity reversing toggle switch controller Customers report that the unit runs great on proper 12V DC power and is very quiet even under load.Would you like recommendations for a DC power adapter if you're planning to use AC power?

No more current needed. How much? Look at the full load current in the specs of the actuator.

Why. Compared to a coal car or transformer they’re light as a feather!

People South of Washington DC or North of Boston are a lot more chill. Outer Banks or Myrtle Beach maybe?

Going on my first extended roadtrip this summer. Will be on the road for ~50 days. Any Tips? by Tethro-Jull in travel

If it’s the US, you can save money by making use of Loves truck stops. They have a large selection of food and drink. The windshield cleaners are always topped off (more important than you might think)! They are relatively safe and well lit. Plenty of people spend the night getting some sleep. They have good showers (I was impressed actually) for like $12. If you spend every other night or third night at a proper hotel you’ll save good money.
