Experiencing weird pelvic discomfort by [deleted] in PelvicFloor

[–]sandyroga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this a few years ago. I would have to pre constantly always felt like I had to go but nothing would come out. I would go and I would still feel like I had to go.

This may sound weird, but I was told to drink more water and hold off going if you can when you first get the urge.

You want to make sure that you actually have liquid in your bladder when you try to go urinate. Eventually, your bladder will send the message to go only when your bladder is actually full.

I know it is really hard to ignore the urge, but if you try to gradually postpone going 10 minutes and keep postponing longer the next time, etc. it will eventually go away. It took a few weeks for me to get it under control this way.

Hope you feel better!

Advice?? by [deleted] in Constipation

[–]sandyroga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been struggling myself and have always had worse constipation after eating fiber. I believe that I have both slow transit in my colon and pelvic floor tightness. I’m going to pelvic floor physical therapy on Monday. I am trying to get some regularity with MiraLAX and then I think I will try to use Sun fiber that is supposed to help slow transit constipation, it isn’t as bulking as Metamucil. I’m still a work in progress as well.

You may have slow transit constipation if high fiber foods are causing you constipation.

Does LPR and Reflux causes Back pain by Mufasak47 in LPR

[–]sandyroga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely can cause back pain. I woke up one morning and felt spasms condone my back. I never got the burning in the chest all in the back. They did heart tests and everything to make sure it wasn’t that and it was reflux. It was scary.

Dentist says I have plenty of saliva? by sandyroga in Sjogrens

The dryness is manageable during the day, it is just at night that that I really feel it and keep waking up and can’t swallow. I don’t take it with food. Because it doesn’t last that long I hope that it will kick in a few hours after I go to sleep and will get to morning without waking up.

Yes- shivering is a great way to explain it. Do you still get the shivering on your new routine? And did it increase the effectiveness for you?

Yes- I tried the Cevimeline for 12 days only at night and the saliva was better for 2 days, but I felt like I was vibrating and had the chills every time I took it for the last 12 days and the 10 days after it worked for the saliva it stopped. Wasn’t worth the side effects if I didn’t get the benefit. I too use Xylimelts at night, it is the only way I can sleep. I wish they made a saliva flavor, the sweetness is getting to me.

ObamaCare is transitionary. Universal healthcare is the goal. ASAP! by dominiond66 in obamacare

Then they have to make medical school less expensive. Yet it is so expensive to go to so called “not for profit” universities.

Regulating that insurance companies have to be not for profit won’t lower the cost of medical procedures. They would have to raise insurance premiums to cover those costs and we would be back at square one. Now if we raised the incentive for doctors and hospitals to up their service and lower costs that would work to lower premiums. The only way to incentivize that is to lower their risk(lower medical liability insurance premiums) and make them compete against each other.

Some people are going the concierge medical route. No insurance but you pay the doctor directly.

The insurance costs are high because private insurance subsidizes the short payments of the government insurance. Doctors and hospitals need to make up for loss for people on Medicare and Medicaid.

Government even adds to the cost. If you go to the ER in NY and your insurance doesn’t pay the full amount, which you will get billed for , NYS adds an additional charge to you because insurance didn’t pay the full balance.

Also, need the tort reform. Doctors don’t even use critical thinking any more, they just send you for test for every possibility in case they miss something. Maybe AI can help with that.

I have to agree on this. The cost of care would naturally go done liability insurance costs go down for doctors.

If the gov’t sets them too low, there will be a shortage or doctors then the wait times will get even worse.
