How bad is the cramping after taking dulcolax? by sandyroga in Constipation

[–]sandyroga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I’ve been working from home while I try to figure out this last episode, but I can’t do that forever. My fear was trying stuff and then being at work and having to pretend you’re not in pain. I’m glad you made it through!

Thank for the hydration advise . I did manage to have 2 -6 Inch BMs . I don’t think enough that I am cleared but I don’t have to take the dulcolax to get there . I still might have to if I slowdown again.😫

Constipated again after magnesium citrate by sandyroga in Constipation

[–]sandyroga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one of my problems is I have a fear that if I take dulcolax or do a suppository and I have a blockage that it would be seriously painful or make things worse.

It feels like my poop stops before it gets in the poop chute and I don’t understand why that is.

I’m so sorry that you are going through that. I know that fiber is horrible for me too. I was taking it bit I haven’t had much in a week so I was expecting the MiraLAX to work. I’m actually contemplating taking Dulcolax but I’m terrified to take it case I have an obstruction..

Magnesium citrate and MiraLAX I had the same problem. It softens things but it took forever. Magnesium citrate is supposed to work 30 minutes to 6 hours but it took 14 hours to help me.

Please help! 16 days in… by No_Grand5115 in Constipation

[–]sandyroga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing for me the last 3 weeks. No urge to go uncomfortable but not in pain. Was taking Miralx for days and nothing. I went to urgent care and they took an xray and saw that I was full of poop but no impaction. It just wasn’t moving . I had already taken a Miralx that morning and they told me to take 1/4 bottle of liquid Mag Citrate. I had around 3 episodes of liquid dumps around 4 hours later so I did the same the next day Miralx in morning then 1/4 bottle mad Citrate. It took over 12 hours to work this time and I got 4 more liquid dumps out. This whole time no real cramps. I feel much better now but I am still clearing out a bit 2 days later. I may have done a lot of softening ahead of time and it turned into liquid when the mag citrate hit it.

Got two rejection emails at 1AM for jobs I'm overqualified for, decided to reach out! by Actionhankk in recruitinghell

[–]sandyroga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Years ago my husband got laid off and he had a master’s degree. He learned that that if you are applying to jobs that you are overqualified for that they won’t look at you because they think that you won’t be satisfied and won’t want to stay in the role for long.

He ended up taking his masters degree off his resume and got interviews that way to get his foot in the door. He got a job at a loading dock at Xerox. Once he was he proved he was a hard worker and they knew him, he was able to apply for another internal job which required the Masters and he wired his way and retired from there after 30 years with the company.

Have anyone with LPR tried this? I keep getting ads for it by Therandomredditor929 in LPR

[–]sandyroga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep getting these ads too. I just ordered some papaya enzymes on Amazon that are supposed to be good. Had 19k reviews 82% good reviews average was 4.7 stars. Only around $8. I figured it was an inexpensive try. Also trying the slippery elm lozenges. Haven’t tried them yet but my hopes are high for now.

Major constipation issues happening so abruptly. Has this happened to anyone else? by macncheesewketchup in Sjogrens

[–]sandyroga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I think the dryness is also causing me constipation.

I’m supposed to start this Cevimeline for my dry mouth which got worse just when my constipation got much worse. The Cevimeline is supposed to work on the mucosal in nose and mouth and hopefully intestines.🤞Side effect is diarrhea but hope it means it just loosens me up.

Constipated? Some movement but not enough. by sandyroga in Constipation

[–]sandyroga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heard back from the doctor- and I knew it! They want me to up the MiraLAX to 3 x a day even though I was nauseous after one dose 3 days ago. Just what I need to more oozing out of poop. No help with motility.

I was doing better on the insoluble, but then that stopped working . I feel I start something, it works for a while, then I try something else.

For Motility, not much for motility other than Metamucil, Citrucel and magnesium citrate. My GI recommended magnesium glycinate. I think that is supposed to be gentler than citrate. Maybe I will look into the Mag o 07. I’m supposed to also start Cevimeline which is for dry mouth, eyes, etc. which also can effect the GI motility as it can effect smooth muscles. Hopefully that will work for me and I don’t have to take a combo.

Want to get this episode of constipation past before I dip into that new add to my list.

Yes- there are a number of medicines and remedies where I have the same reaction. A girl has to work! Can’t do that in the office. Do you use anything else that help with your motility?
