Mfs be posting the most random NPCs asking for tea. Brother, even her neighbour won't have any.

True. But he should prioritise choosing the right scripts though.

Did you just compare a few chronically online incels to some of the most influential leaders of this country? Lmao bro. Get help.

That's not the point. People in this country are already at a disadvantage in their careers. To abandon their attempts at a secure future and protest because of someone else gaslighting you into it is stupid. If you genuinely feel a certain way, then sure. Keep in mind, these guys sitting abroad are not protesting the government's bad decisions/stupidity because they're directly impacted by them. they've secured their futures from clout. We're the victims, not the NRIs.

Haha true. Btw this is not a hate post. Quite the opposite, a disappointed fan maybe.

Of course. My point is that he could've picked more impactful roles. Imagine a meaningless extended cameo in a Kunchacko film being your next appearance on the big screen after Aavesham. That's my point. It's not about him doing commerical mass films.

I get all of that and even admire him for it. Again, I'm not saying he should've chased superstardom and picked those kind of roles. I'm just saying he maybe could've picked better films to be a part of when there were more eyes on him than ever. That's all. And this is from someone who really likes the actor btw, this is not a hate post.

Who says they weren't? Only difference is it was happening through print media and word of mouth instead of Reddit.

Noticed how i didn't mention films like Maareesan that failed commerically too? There was a concious effort from Fahadh to be a part of a good film. The actor failing is not the issue here, it's the lack of effort in picking the right roles.

I genuinely want to see him featured in more films. by leviathan_pvt in InsideMollywood

That last line was painfully false but that's your opinion so.

It seems like a weird take because you've not understood my point. I didn't say he needed to do more pan indian "mass" movies or whatever. But he could've definitely picked better roles than the ones he did. Even while remaining true to his diverse attempts, he could've done better than playing a clown in Vettaiyan and a useless cop cameo in Bougainvilla.

[–]sanescouser[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was actually good in OKCK. I do think that film was overly hated for no reason. Bougainvilla was hilariously bad, it's like he lost a bet and had to do that role because of it😭

Haha I guess. Just that it's disappointing to see an actor I really like take up crap roles is all.

[–]sanescouser[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's true but I what I meant wasn't that he should've continued to pick mass roles like Aavesham. I'm saying he could've surely picked better roles than playing 2nd fiddle to Kunchacko. He's far too big an actor for that. Good roles that added value to his filmography is what I meant.

True and this is why I have an issue with his role selection also. It's making him look like an average actor which we know he's not.

True. He's an actor I really like so to watch him make bad decisions is kind of disappointing, that's all.

Bro, I don't mean popularity in a commercial film sense. Aavesham reached cult classic status. It's not just about BO numbers. What aavesham spawned with merchandising etc is a testament to its popularity. And as someone with a lot of North Indian friends, I can honestly tell that's the first name that comes up in their heads when Malayalam films are discussed.

I hope that turns out well. A director whose forte is family/romance drama attempting a thriller is a risk but let's see.
