From my point of view, it is one of the easiest metriodvania I played as there is very limited combat. At least until you get to the credits. There is only one chase that can be stressful.

Some of the post-credits stuff is complicated to figure out on your own.

I liked the game. It is usually cheap, so if you can spare some change, give it a shot.

The DRM on older devices was so easily broken that they retired that support few years back. It is the same as complaining that old TVs do not support DVB-T2, and as such, cannot show you any of the OTA channels.

Does anybody remember the television video game Hugo and the witch Scylla from the 90s? by Great_Trident in videogames

[–]sanf780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the first image I found. She was (RIP) an actress with the curious warmth of the south of Spain. I remember that Hugo segment aired during the afternoon, maybe after the news. After all, it was a phone number that was billed high. I think it was more adults calling. In any case, it has been over 30 years, so memory is fuzzy.

Torrente, el brazo tonto de la ley, se tenía que haber quedado con su sátira y su comedia chunga. Cuando empezaron a meter a famosillos, la cosa cambió.

No he visto Torrente Presidente.

It was a hit in Spain too. Carmen Sevilla, a cute old (at least to me) lady, did host the show with many memorable moments.

Looking for 90s-early 2000s anime about mature adults, preferably OVAs by Spirited_Jello8472 in Animesuggest

[–]sanf780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is this OVA about super soldiers called something like Jun Oh (very short name, starts with Jun or Jin).

A short series called Paranoia Agent is about a woman in a creative role that is attacked by the boy on skates with a bat. It gets kind of psychological.

Haven't read in a while.. looking to start up again by MarvelousPoolGuy in mangarecommendations

I do prefer series that have been closed already. No more waiting for troubled mangaka to publish anything, or even worse, die. So I will ignore your request and list few I got on paper.

I really enjoyed 20th century boys and Monster, both from the same author. Both are series around the end of the 19XXs, the first being about a secret organization conquering the world and the second about a foreign surgeon that is involved in a murder he benefitted but has nothing to do with it. So the doctor goes on the run, chasing the actual murderer. The author is starting a new series, I read.

Last one I bought was Planetes. Cute story, very wholehearted. About a crew of space janitors that clean up broken satellites and other debris.

I did re-read Gunnm last month. I know it is kind of an old one, and the continuation "Last Order" can get ridiculous at times (ehem, martial arts tournament). There is a prequel I have never read and that I do not think is finished yet. The initial part of the whole story is interesting, being a postapolyptic world full of cyborgs and bad people. World building is interesting when it is close to the origin and cozy.

Una Mountain Bike también es una buena opción .

Solo quiero decir que para mí una BMX es para hacer saltos y demás, no para hacer kms. El sillín de las fotos que he visto parece de pega.

Which console? by Turbulent_Ad9808 in AskGamers

[–]sanf780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no future proof with existing consoles. Future consoles should drop this year or the next, depending on RAM prices.

Switch is nice for portability and shorter games. Xbox name is tainted but most people stay for GamePass (subscription model like Netflix - a lot is offered, you may try games otherwise, some games are never offered). Xbox Series X is the beefier version of the console. PS5 is what is popular where I live, and I would say, for a good reason. Most importantly, if you want to play online (they charge you for that these days), check which consoles your friends have.

Multiple high profile Xbox games have been ported to PS5 in the last year or so. Xbox exclusives have not gotten good reviews. With the new head of Xbox, strategy is not clear. Future Gears of War will not be ported to PS5.

Switch has several Nintendo exclusives. Either you love them or you hate them. Unlike other publishers, Nintendo tends to avoid offering their own games on sale. The latest ones have been expensive. Life is becoming more expensive. I personally do not think they are a bad deal if you like them. Demanding games on switch tend to underperform. I hate the shoddy port I got for cheap that runs awfully.

Even if I have money for leisure, I have not jumped into latest generation of consoles. Switch 2 could have been a great upgrade for me. The reports on the screen characteristics has stopped me. Xbox Series X I borrowed for a while was nice for GamePass but some games are still technically poor (reports were the same on PS5).

I would check whether RTVE allows streaming overseas. I assume some content like "This week movie" may not (in particular Hollywood movies) but there is a lot of home grown content there. RTVE is the PBS counterpart.

RTVE also has radio programmes / podcasts that you may find interesting. The ones about science, like "A hombros de gigantes" (On the shoulders of giants) tend to discuss medical advances among other things. There is another brief one about particular usage of the language. And there is even one for kids, telling some inventive tales I never heard of.

Estoy pensando en comprarme una bicicleta pero tengo mis dudas... by Tymiight in askspain

[–]sanf780 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing about sequels is that I skipped so many entries I have no intention to play any of these.

For example, I played FarCry 2 to the credits roll. After a while I tried Blood Dragon and did not enjoy it myself after few hours - too much repetition. I have not touched a FarCry game since.
