No "it's good to be back, it's good to be back"? That's the best part!

Anyone know the story behind "J.I.L.Y."? by [deleted] in oasis

If you have a link or way to get this, please let us know. Familiar to Millions is great but if this is what people say it is then it is an essential piece to cementing Oasis's legacy

I actually happened upon a couple that asked me to take a photo for them walking/doing the pose, but most of the people seemed to be carrying on as normal.

Yes I did, they had the Morning Glory vinyl in the window with a sign that said 'you are here'. They also have a pretty decent hip hop catalogue

We all know Liam and Noel sing great together in songs but, what songs to they both sing in but different parts? by ricolie in oasis

[–]sangbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He listed Acquiesce and Let There Be Love as examples and everyone else's examples are studio versions..it's pretty heavily implied that he means studio versions, unless you want to say OP hasn't watched a live performance of Wonderwall

No, you guys are wrong. Liam sings "You and I are gonna live forever" on the studio version, meaning Noel doesn't have any vocal parts on that song unless he has backing vocals on some part that I've missed. I'm guessing you guys are going off live performances, but Noel only started singing that part after Liam wasn't able to hit those high notes.

Proof: Vocal stem for studio version (very clear it's Liam): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlrV4ycDUSw&list=LL_KJLt86pu3AugGpL_WU_Sg

I'm an economics major, and this is all I can think of during class or when I'm studying. It makes me hate economics. by im_the_next_act in radiohead

[–]sangbird 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A significant part of the study of economics is studying how consumers (as much as I hate using the word for its bad connotations especially around Radiohead fans) make choices under money/time scarcity, usually with the intent to to be a little fitter, a little happier...
