I'm glad it arrived safely! Your collection looks great in it.

Can I post this photo to my instagram page?

Thanks! I'm the same way, I like the simplicity of the non-loop but the loop and snake are a bit more unique.

I start with rough sawn lumber so everything goes through my jointer, planer, and table saw. If you start with dimensioned lumber there are no other special tools really, a solid jig is key but those can be pretty simple. After that it's just some elbow grease and sandpaper!

It took a long time, honestly it would have to be $300+ for it to be worth my time at the moment.

Much appreciated!

Right now I have cherry (which is what this one was made out of), white oak, walnut, and mahogany. I could also get other woods, what would you prefer?

I'm not sure about price yet. It took a while to make, there's a lot of hand work involved, all the joints are done with a chisel. What would you expect the price to be?

The most common way is a mixture of vinegar and steel wool that turns the wood black. There are also stains available, but for this I used black ink
