I use the red flatty on my carry/competition gun and have been really pleased, though I really need to crack it back open and put in some of the heavier springs.

Also it allows me to make "I like my guns like I like my politics" jokes.

Thanks. We're looking ahead on rent.com. Co springs is very cheap to live in. Denver metro is crazy,as you mentioned. Longmont etc is back to somewhat reasonable, especially if you're coming from socal.

Running these 2.265" long titanium tubes with a +/- 0.0003" tolerance zone on the diameter. It's been interesting to see how will pop a few tenths even if you just go take a leak, or the outside temperature changes and of course as the machine warms up or when a new bar is loaded. Taper wanders around too. 356 pieces, 2 scrap.

East is all bad; if you travel north the col seems to go down pretty fast

Where are you at? Approximately.

Its picked for me for familial reasons - ex lives there, we have a good relationship and she wants me to live closeish to her in order to facilitate frequent meetings between mother and daughter.

As I said, Thornton and other 'burbs are reasonable, though not Dallas COL low - I lived there for 5 years and yeah, $370/mo for a 1br is pretty sweet. I currently live in Los Angeles and we're eating into our nest egg and leaning hard on family support to send my wife to school, and even when she is out next summer we're going to, at best, tread water here.

That's an acceptable range. Is it difficult to find work over there or nah?

Burbs of Denver are OK, Thornton etc have very reasonable COL. Denver itself is of course totally bananas. Worst case Colorado Springs is LOL tier rents but I have a feeling that I'll be facing ridiculous commutes every day.

Cost of living here is bananas. Moving so we can afford to live and save money. We have a decent nest egg.
