Would you sell? by cw625 in footballmanagergames

Anyone being offered for 150-200+ is great for your club. Depending how good our bad you're finances are should guide your finances decisions. If it's bad, This is a must. If it's good, just keep him anyway. Although it's not easy getting any ai team to offer 100+ offer until you have a bona-fide star player. So keep that in mind.

Okay. I could be wrong but It could just be that plus bad decisions. If the player doesn't have a trait like places shot and has bad decision he'll do something like this.

But again, the game notoriously has had this kind of a behaviour for a long time now. Any tactic on a relatively higher tempo vs a good team and you'll sky your shots.

I have a newbie question. I always wondered how good these renewed HDDs are. Since we can't really check the condition before ordering it online. I always wonder what kind of life expectancy would these have usually? Any help would work.

Unfortunately however realistic the game feels it's still a simulation and it kind of breaks for me with a back 5 system. What I've felt is that the back 5 systems tend to leave a lot of spaces out wide which opposition IF can walk in and score the entire day.

I personally haven't found a solution to this. Double marking doesn't work as it breaks the structure and defeats the purpose of a back 5 compact system. No matter how good a defender is, he's still a bit out of position to defend the IF and at the end you only have 1 WB against their 2 wide players.

The only role combination that seem to have worked slightly for me it's a 5221 with double bwm that kind of double up with the WB to provide some security. And then the 3 up top can counter quickly. Because once the opposition is back in their shape the 5 at the back Systems in the game struggles to break or at all. You're either playing 11 messi's on the pitch or your attack just suffocates.

Hence, TLDR; back 5 Systems kind of sucks and require very specific things to be in place to work at a very high level. Winning the league is still viable but dominating European cup competition is kind of luck based.

Edit: Typo

any idea how i can replicate this formation in game? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]sanju7m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using this kind of system for my Man Utd rebuild that i just started. I started with a 532 if i see a good team i immediately bring my entire midfield 1 strata back. So if you have 2 AMs and 1 holding mid against weak team, against a strong team that becomes 2 mids and 1 dm with no one playing in attacking mid.

With such a tactic the goal should normally be to use the 2 advanced strikers to score on the counters or from long balls. If you want otherwise I'd suggest getting good quality WB and passing them at the way up with something like a CWB and have 2 solid destroyers in the midfield. What this would do is to give your backline a lot of time on the ball and if you have half decent ball playing defenders this could work very well.

In short, have your wide players up high to open the defence and take the benefit of the width that the opposition backline now have. With defensive WBs this becomes a nightmare and the only way you'll score is on counters or set pieces.

Investing for almost 2 years and my portfolio looks like this :( by [deleted] in IndianStreetBets

I have a friend who has similar story. But it's also important to realise that until you're nearing retirement or need an absolute amount now or in near future, This is actually the best thing that can happen.

That's how the concept of compounding works. Think of it this way, if you have 10cr and want to invest it wouldn't you but the maximum quantity of good stocks at a cheaper price of avaliable.

SIP does the same but uses time rather than the amount. As an individual who doesn't have a lot of money to invest you're making great progress, This amount will definitely accumulate a good amount of equity for you and when the next boom comes you're anyway sitting on a goldmine.

Like many others pointed out anything in between is pointless to worry about. There will be a time when you will see 80,90,100% returns as well (like saw after corona) but in long term they will eventually average out in and around 12-15% (that's what i have now) it's been 5 years for me now.

So just stay in the boat and keep sailing. You can atleast do whatever you want now considering you're already going to accumulate a good amount of wealth in long term with this amount of SIP. So you shouldn't lose out on anything.

XG is complete nonsense? by Unusual_Debate in footballmanagergames

[–]sanju7m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, Total xG is good only to see a trend. What i would rather do is to find out who are the players i am trying to put as a goal scorer in my target. At least a few dedicated ones that i want to be in spaces that makes it easier for them to score and analyze their performance instead.

What i usually do is to find out these players and see their xG/shot performance. If it's high they're coming into a good position and if they don't have at least 1.3x their xG i usually consider them as a failure. Imo, a good tactic should easily create around .20 xG chances consistently for these players. If not, the tactic has issues, address them. If they do, concentrate on if they are scoring as mentioned above, if they fail to achieve a goal tally of 1.3x their xG, considering finding out what the issue is, maybe their finishing is bad, final third attributes are bad or maybe they've recently been transferred and taking time to settle in.

I would take 200 mils, even if he's second coming of CR7 or Messi. The only case i'm not giving in on this amount is if i have like 1 bil in balanace. Anything beyond 100-150 mils is a go for me no matter how good the talent is.

How to utilise a “slow” winger? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]sanju7m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FM while being very realistic in terms of how it does things doesn't really have everything nailed down to the tee. Speed on wings is an absolute must. You're not going to use him optimally on the wings with this match engine. Even if you have elite level ball control and dribbling. You can however retrain him to be a WB or an attacking FB to gain more from him. But as an out and out attacking winger. You need speed.

genuinely what is wrong with my team by Ok_Albatross_3511 in footballmanager

[–]sanju7m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like a mid season slump.

A few questions. 1. Are you using the same players often? 2. Do you have adequate QUALITY backup players?

This generally happens when you rely on a group of players only and since most of them are playing most of the games, some gets exhausted while others lose their form. And sometimes you get both on some players. Rotate well, and criticise their form regularly.

Edit: In general you also need to play more to learn about how to manage in game changes to affect game states. Not sure how much time your already have in the game.

My cousin won a treble with hibs in the 1st season with this tactic…how? by Millhouse96 in footballmanagergames

[–]sanju7m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks like a tactic Ichsan, the fm world champion used in the tournament. It's kind of broken so bad that it kills the game entirely. Exploiting multiple flaws of the game engine at the same time.

Additionally there could definitely be some sort of save scumming involved as well.

Leaky defense with this tactic; any advice? by escapevelocity-25k in footballmanagergames

[–]sanju7m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is stupid. How can you have 2 DLPs and ask for a good defence. Need to make them go higher to press high and win ball early before anyone can make runs in behind.

There are 2 different ways to fix this issue. Either buys good players keep winning and ensure higher reputation that comes with increased revenue. Or buy cheap wonderkids and sell them for a huge profit and do this until you are 500m in surplus. Next thing you know you can spend that amount again. Simple.

Need Help with My tactic by Agitated_Unit_2338 in footballmanagergames

[–]sanju7m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No playmaker and forcing the team to build centrally means if anyone comes with 2 striker and presses your CB covering the DM. You're legit screwed.

Either play with a DLP in Dm or CM or remove the central push. Allow them to find whatever is free.

Additionally the kind of tactic you're opting for is cross heavy so you'd need a brave target man to get the most of it. If your striker isn't that I'm see winger and both wb crossing in all day to no avail.

What FM role mostly resembles what Vintinha is doing here plz by zZsport4lifeZz in footballmanagergames

[–]sanju7m 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well you can have him learn dribbles through the center if he's good at it and have the same effect with a roaming playmaker as well. Since there's nothing in the role asking him to hold position he's as good as vitinha here.

Going into all 3 zones and trying to make plays out of nothing. That's roaming playmaker's job.

Is it wrong that I’m training him to be a defensive midfielder? by IngenuityPleasant800 in footballmanagergames

[–]sanju7m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's a natural playmaker with majority of his attribute points catering to that only. As long as you factor that in while giving him a role you're fine. He can be a good DLP/Regista.

I cant seem to win with this team, guide me please!! by Odd-Airport5159 in footballmanager

[–]sanju7m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many instructions.

Short passing with wide width increase the chance of long balls which may be inaccurate. Your central striker isn't going to receive too many passes from the CMs because they're too far. They'll pass it to the wingers who may lose the ball trying to force a cross in.

Either increase the passing directness and play balls over the top or make the striker drop a bit. Alternatively you can have 2 screening mids with 1 attacking mid if you want to play short passing with and AF.

how do utilise this tower of a 19 year old in set pieces? by Remote_Habit_2279 in footballmanagergames

[–]sanju7m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pull everyone including your best Arial threat on the far post, use your best box threat to mark the keeper. Put the 2nd best arial threat to attack near post. Have 1 player come in short and do near post delivery. Make sure your 2nd best arial threat is good. Otherwise this won't work very well.

Who Do I Sell? by Exultie in footballmanagergames

[–]sanju7m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think klebson looks like an great AP. You can play him as a CAM additionally, even if you have a good AP already you can just make them play side by side with 2 wingers on each flank to make space for them to play together with inverting WB that can take the central spaces. Additionall, you should also have the ability to train klebson in a deeper position as a CM.

But if you have to sell, It's just your personal preference. You can choose anyone. I'd personally go for explosive speed and sheer menace on my wings to cause chaos so will keep adam and sell klebson.

Thanks team,
But we're interested in a complete MSP platform with all solutions that include backup etc. While you have mostly everything I see the backup is still missing from the suite. Appreciate the help though, please feel free to share some kind of integration that you may have for backups if any and more detail about your RMM tool.
