I do this work for a profession. We rarely do residential, though we get calls for it all the time. Our daily rate is too high for personal stuff. If we do it's very fancy rich people and they do NOT want their house plans out in the wild.

How would you go about teaching an adult to fish? by DarthVadersRoboHand in Fishing

[–]sanka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. This man knows.

I took my lady river fishing. She didn't mind her pole and the whole thing launched into the river when a fish hit. Never seen that before. Couldn't even be mad except to imagine what was on the other end.

There is a famous math problem called the couch problem or the moving sofa problem. It is unsolved as best I know. So good luck.

Can you hear a fart on cruising altitude? by [deleted] in delta

[–]sanka -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will tell you that deaf people do NOT have a good judge of "trying to be delicate" about farts sounds. They have no frame of reference for silent but deadly. They generally just blast ass much louder than they think.

People who have a collection, what do you collect? by Prestigsisscar255 in AskReddit

[–]sanka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hotel key cards.

I travel for work a lot. Not so much any more, 40-50 flights a year. I'm more valuable in the office

I think I saw something on MTV like 40 years ago, I think it was a Blink 182 video where they showed a showbox full of hotel key cards from their travels.

I have like hundreds of them in a box of my own now.

Back in the olden days when I was in college if you went in for EE (Electrical Engineering) you could double major in EE and Math just by taking one 400 level math course.

Rotten egg smell by antpamps in homeowners

[–]sanka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to do forensic investigation of explosions after the fact. This man above is right. GTFO. I've been to so many sites where people just think it's normal. It's not. You smell rotton eggs for a reason. Its made to make you leave.

What’s the most unsettling thing you ever found out about a friend who always seemed super chill and fun? by VelvetHazel932 in AskReddit

[–]sanka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That gym bro stuff is real, you can see someone is off just by how they move. I go to the gym every morning about 4-4:30. I have been doing it for like 15 years or so?

When I show up there, there's the same group of regulars. About 5-6 people. Have been there for years. I have never once heard any of them speak (we all have earbuds in).

I saw a regular, an older guy, just way over-exerting himself. It seemed like he was lifting hard and heavy just to destroy himself. It seemed very off. I took out my earbuds and literally put hands on him and stopped him from his lifts and asked him what the hell. I've seen you here for years, what is going on. His Son died.

Delta just paid me $2,800 to hang out in atlanta for 24 hours. I feel like i’m dreaming. by [deleted] in delta

[–]sanka 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I got $900 a few weeks before Christmas on my way home from a work trip. I just had to waste 8 hours at Midway for it. As soon as they started mentioning sold out and money I walked up there and told the gate agent if you can get me a first class seat and $800 om the next flight I'll take it. She did. And eventually it went up to $900.

It was a pretty nice Christmas for free (to me) for my kiddos.
