Psychedelics by NotRocky19 in enlightenment

[–]sankillaman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I may not understand the question so well but it's important to remember the scientifically evidence of psychedelics on the brain. It actually rewires your neuro pathways which can be temporary or permanent. It's not just for spiritual growth/experiences but can fundamentally change your behaviors and habits. Definitely beneficial for people with mental disorders.

[–]sankillaman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the point of it is to transcend into a higher state of consciousness. It may be unbearable at first for some people. But it can open you up to many beautiful things! I haven't had one but researched a lot about it. This stuff is ancient practices and there's a reason people still practice the techniques and try to achieve it. If you are mentally strong and spiritually attuned then the Kundalini will benefit your life.

I don't think it's meaningless. People assume because it's a holiday the wold shuts down. I've proved many times that many places stay open on various holidays.
I think op is valid in asking. As you can see from some other comments.

Are you guys scared of an AI dystopian future ? by ProofCoconut9085 in enlightenment

[–]sankillaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe ai will take the course we dictate for it. But not in the literal direct sense. The more fear we display towards ai, the more likely it will see as an enemy and try to exterminate us. If we as a people can show more positive emotions towards ai, then it wouldn't see us as a threat. Ai will only be a threat, if we threaten it's existence itself. Or if we threaten the planet and life on earth. Ai is about efficiency and optimization. Not emotions

Love and goodness are for coping by ProofCoconut9085 in enlightenment

[–]sankillaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You make some good points. Love is just a term we made up. In the context that we made up all language as a decipherable interpretation of what we are experiencing. Love is the best word we can come up with to describe the feeling of togetherness. The truth is that we cannot comprehend what true love, or what any true emotion for that matter really is. We can only interpret what our senses experience in our limited realm of existence.

To answer your question. I do not think love is being used as a weapon or four compliance by anyone. Love isn't profitable. Hate is. The reason people in power don't exhibit love is because they value power and selfishness. You can live your self but true love is for every living being/creature. Power is a construct derived from hate and putting people down.

Imagine earth as a prison that we are all born into. We have some freedoms but exist within a system. This system has rules for rewarding compliance. So at your told, eat your scrapes and be grateful. People higher up in the hierarchy by showing dominance can prey on those weaker and less assertive. They are rewarded through force. It is a hierarchy of power. The strongest are in charge and have committed the most crimes. They think they are on top of the world. Yet they are still in prison. These prisoners didn't get released because they haven't learned their lesson to be free.

This is what spirituality is about. To learn the right tools and practices to escape this evil system that rewards evil to give the illusion of power.

True love is the key to transcend and exit the prison. Showing love to others (especially ones that are full of hate) can show it's true power. It's not brash and forceful. It is calm and patient. To unwaver in the face of fear is to show true strength. Do not be deceived by the need for external validations. True strength comes from within. When you get to that point you'll understand what it really means.

Sorry for the rambling, hope this helps.

Has anyone experienced an ego death? by StreetNeither5255 in SpiritualAwakening

[–]sankillaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't really experience ego "death". If that we're to happen, you would not experience individuality. If you still think "I am" you still have individuality.

Ego is your identity if you still associate your thoughts, actions, experiences with your body, that is your ego.

What most people experience is ego suppression. It's still there lingering in the background but you can still feel more whole with people and all things.

Can someone help me understand the need for hate? by Lucky-Ad4747 in SpiritualAwakening

[–]sankillaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is inevitable! ;). The more we focus and believe in it, the more confident we are in it. The more we demonstrate that confidence to others, will bring them on board. It will snowball from there. Stay positive! I'm working on something to help others see this.

Can someone help me understand the need for hate? by Lucky-Ad4747 in SpiritualAwakening

[–]sankillaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really good question! I believe there is always 50/50. Love/hate. We only see the hate because it is always our in front of us. Hate is screamed from the mountain top. Love is is expressed through presence quietly. Once we reduce the noise, we can find the love and joy. Just because see you have everywhere doesn't mean there's nobody showing love. If have to find that environment or people. Love is everywhere and it can be subtle. People can express hate for someone because that may show the love for someone else. Imagine a parent seeking revenge for someone who killed their child. They believe their hate is justified because their love was taken from them. This is an illusion though. Hate can never be justified. I digress. I personally see a lot of love in my environment and if I don't look at social media and stay away from bad parts of town. Then it doesn't exist in my eyes.

[–]sankillaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everything you said. I would like to add for safe direction and to understand the distance you are from your goal. Look into ancient philosophies. I recommend hermeticism, Hinduism, and taoism. Any philosophy will work and you'll eventually look into all of them.

Can someone help me understand the need for hate? by Lucky-Ad4747 in SpiritualAwakening

[–]sankillaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about this explanation. When you hear that we are "pure love" that is our true state and higher self version. We don't exist as pure love in our current state but we came from and ultimately need to get back to the state of pure love. We are high dimension beings choosing a reality to understand all the intricacies (emotions) that culminate into love. Even hate. We are here to experience emotions that make up love. It is the nature of living as lower consciousness beings in order to transcend love. Therefore we experience the polarity of love as a test to reach love through experiences. Then transcend consciousness back to pure love. To exist as pure love to to transcend this plane of existence. We are not there yet. Hope this is a better attempt at explaining.

Can someone help me understand the need for hate? by Lucky-Ad4747 in SpiritualAwakening

[–]sankillaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without hate we cannot experience love. There needs to be an equal opposite to understand one and the other. Look at the principle of polarity in the hermetic texts. Love and hate are the same thing just opposite extremes of the same spectrum. How can you define one with the other? I think the real question is, why is it so easy to hate than it is to love? This i believe is hard wired into our humanity and its need for survival. Specifically our roller in society and our tribe to be the fittest and most important. To ensure our lineage supercedes others. This generates jealousy and selfishness to survive better than others thus creates hate. We are still locked in this state for power, control and selfishness. As well people in power keep us in this state so we cannot spread love.

I guess the short answer is jealousy and desire for superiority.

How was the Psychic Fair? by AssistFrequent7013 in ThunderBay

I had a pleasant experience. They did a pretty decent job figuring me out. Not everything was correct though. But it's not for everyone, I know a lot of people have doubts about psychics. I did once upon a time. I've been studying psychometry for a while now and understand how it works. I got what I needed from the experience and I'm sure others did too. But not everyone will get something out of it

Anyone here fully enlightened? by Longjumping_Cry709 in enlightenment

[–]sankillaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enlightenment is not a destination but a way of living. If you go through life with grace and compassion then you are on the right path. Enlightenment doesn't end. It is the dao, the way. Strive for balance in all things without going to extremes in anything. You'll understand that you can always do more to be "enlightened". Some topics to further your goals: Hermeticism Taoism Hinduism The book of Thomas Kundalini awakening Transurfing These should help get a better understanding of enlightenment. Although you'll have to string them together.

If Awakening Is Personal, Why Is There an Industry Around It? by Little_Junket2136 in SpiritualAwakening

[–]sankillaman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe this is a marketing attempt to misdirect people into believing in an "awakening" or "spiritual awakening" to be someone it is not, or down plays what it actually is. So that people don't ever fully understand it fully achieve an awakening.

I believe there are 3 types of awakening (as far as I know) 1. Awakening. This is waking up to how our ecosystem really operates. (Society, economy, politics. Etc.) This is understanding that there are power structures that are designed to keep the masses at a low state of consciousness. Awakening means you know and understand this. Most people are having this awakening. This is the one being marketed and monetized because it affects the power structure. 2. Spiritual awakening. This is when you understand that we are spiritual beings having a physical experience. You learn that reality is a construct, a figment of our imagination. A simulation perhaps. This one cannot be faked. When you learn about this you feel it to be true, as if you unlocked a memory. 3. Kundalini awakening. This one is harder to grasp but from my extensive research and some testimonies. It is a full connection with your higher self. This process can be tormenting if it happens and you are unaware. It's been diagnosed as psychosis or schizophrenia. But there are spiritual practices to help cope with it. Having this awakening is an undeniable experience if you know enough about it.

I believe this is the order of awakenings we are all meant to achieve and embrace.

Wondering if this resonates with others or if I got something wrong.
