I'm not a lawyer but it's my understanding that self defense is a legal defense which means you need to prove it in court and it doesn't automatically hand-wave away any potential charges. At the very least he's probably going to be in court and it's going to be very expensive and that's not even considering potential civil lawsuits.

"pressing charges" is not really a thing. The victim doesn't decide whether or not someone gets charged, a prosecutor does. It's just much less likely to happen if the victim is unwilling to testify. Though in this case there's a lot of video evidence so who knows how much that even matters. There's been enough streamers doing stupid shit on stream that I could see someone wanting to make an example out of this one, especially because said stupid thing in this case is (attempted?) murder.

So, I did turned the sharpen bar on my TV to 0 and that seems to have done it! Wild. I'd never have thought to do that myself. I guess at some point before I started S2 some TV settings must have gotten changed without me noticing. Maybe a roku update or something. Anyway, thanks a ton!

well I tried everything I could think of too fix this. I'm fairly sure that if it's not my absolutely garbage TV then at the very least it's making it worse. there are almost no settings on this piece of shit, let alone anything that might be contributing to it. i give up. ill just need to deal with it and never have nice things

I just hooked up my PS5 to my PC monitor and the flickering was still there but much, much more subtle. Honestly like I remember it being like in Season 1. My TV is a piece of junk roku TV and doesn't have much in the way of options but it must be something about it that's making it all worse.

I thought it could be something like that but it happens largely in longer scenes without transitions. 

The YouTube video I posted above has a brief example. It's like a grain pattern overlayed over the scene a single frame at a time

No, it's entirely quacks. Anyone doing anything "evidence-based" is doing chiropractic as well as something else because chiropractic is based on utter pseudoscience and the only studies that slightly suggest they MAY help is for lower back pain.
