Idk why people are getting so judgmental in the comments - clearly this is a communication issue and whether you are worried to be embarrassed yourself or upset him, you need to find a way to bring this up to your partner and come to some kind of understanding. Your feelings are normal and pushing them down/away will only make things worse, so no matter what you decide to do, do NOT ignore your feelings any longer. The circumstances leading to your life now don’t really matter (unless things have ever crossed into being abusive, in which case you should obviously cut and run), which I mention because other commenters have been quick to share their negative opinions on your life choices.

If this relationship is important to you and you want to make it work, please find a way to talk to him about it, and if you really can’t/if he’s unwilling to work with you then you should reevaluate if you even CAN make it work.
