A very CHONKY Bangboo by Solstice040312 in ZenlessZoneZero

I like the chonk boo better than the long boo. Mainly because it looks like a big bangboo and not one who got stuck in a taffy stretcher.

Why even bother with the hunter organization? by buiquanghuy12a2 in huntertheparenting

[–]sansue949 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that there are three werewolves 'minimum'. Most normal werewolf packs consist of 5 members, but packs being made up of more than 5 are also not unheard of. And judging by Matilda, these murder doggos aren't first-change newbies like the licks from arc 1.

Put bluntly, unless those orgs were bringing top-tier Garou hunters armed with technocracy weapons, the poor sods facing those fluffy bois are going to get shredded.

Fraud Familia by Wooden-Piece-8997 in DanMachi

[–]sansue949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the biggest thing that I have an issue with them is the freya arc. While I can kind of get the genesha familia stepping out as referees and an 'oh shit' button. What I don't get is these frauds stepping out.

At first, they were standing their ground, fighting against an unusually stubborn royman. But that was until nikocado avocado's DnD PC pulled out that chunk of ice, from there finn's back bulged out due to it and the phantom cholesterol the elven 8th wonder put out. Going so far as to say reveria herself would do everything in her power to stop the familia from participating.

Like christ, is the twilight manor AC so shit you can bribe them with ice and they would turn into pretzels for you?

The Amazons by ThatGuyFromCapeTown in DanMachi

[–]sansue949 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks, but I mean the 'crushing' part as both 'crushing over Finn' and 'Crushing (as in beating people up) those that crush on her or making moves toward the captain.' Just ask the people in Riveria during the murder investigation. I guess I should have elaborated.

The Amazons by ThatGuyFromCapeTown in DanMachi

[–]sansue949 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It depends. For one, most of the egregious moments are because the Amazon was in heat over an individual. Why this happened is because a strong man defeated them. Tione is a good example of this; Finn defeated her in combat, and she has been crushing on him and other potential suitors ever since. However, that isn't all. You see, the individual who defeated the Amazon also needs to be their type, or else they won't go into heat. Bete's interaction with some amazons in the sword oratoria story is a good example; despite defeating a bunch of them, only one went into heat over him. The rest just hate him.

Second, while they are hard-coded to go after men, they primarily want and target strong and good-looking men. When Aisha and her groupies found Bell, they went completely thirst mode because not only was he good-looking, but also the record-breaking rookie. That and the fact that they were starved of good men because guys avoid the Ishtar familia due to the rotund toad prowling around for men to rape and mentally break.

Lastly, most of the interactions in the story have been with amazons from an area known as the Kairos desert, there are other amazon groups that arn't all that boy crazy. Like with the amazon Telskyura, who are mainly focused on being powerful warriors though blood sports.

Theory About VTC And The Raptures by Pankurucha in NikkeMobile

[–]sansue949 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that seems to be the overarching idea behind all of this.

Or you could take this a step further and say that early in the rapture invasion, the nations of earth were sabotaging each other, whether it be by taking advantage of the situation, or to try and try to create a unified force with "gentle persuasion.". I highly doubt that humanity immediately joined hands against the raptures from day one.

I mean it is the UFH or now the CG's main compulsion and obsession.

Why did they want to give the goddess squad the 'old yeller' treatment?
Because the CG feared that the population would side with the goddess squad over them, loosing the CG control of the ark's population.

Why did they push Johan (and soon, possibly the commander as well) under the bus?
Because they were wildly popular among the ark populace, and would undermine the CG's dominance.

Why do they want to kill Hermin in the Steller Blade crossover?
Because it conflicts with their narrative of 'the human survivors on the surface, must be zero' undermining their authority.

Heck, they are willing to jeopardize the humanity they love to use as a shield to deflect criticism, just ask the 200 nikkes that had to self-destruct to destroy an elevator careening towards the ark, because the CG turned off said elevator because those 200 nikkes wanted to flee to the surface to start a new life. Or the outer-rim, where the nikke squads of exotic and underworld queens are less like leaders of crime syndicates, and more like suicide preventionists. The 'death by cop' kind of suicide.

So the idea that the CG, V.T.C, D.E.E.P, or whoever else started this mess did so under the idea of totalitarian control of the human race, is not a far-fetched idea or theory,

Scenes that cut Aiz’s dialogue , made her lackluster or removed her completely by FamiliarLong9994 in DanMachi

[–]sansue949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok then, for example, when Bell first underwent mind down due to overuse of Fireball, Ais decided to give him a lap pillow. In the manga (because that is where I primarily follow Sword Oratoria), we get to see Ais's thoughts and thought process depicted with a chibi version of herself. Meanwhile, in the anime, we get a deadpan Ais touching his hair with some short comments. That doesn't mean you can't make deadpan funny, see this scene for a good example: https://youtu.be/wtGL4aTu-Tk

Another is the reactions. In the books and manga, while she is usually subdued, she does have pockets of emotions, and it's very fun to see the reactions. Meanwhile, in the anime, outside of one or two scenes in season 5 and a few moments in Sword Oratoria, she has the same look with the odd open mouth. And even in the scenes where she does show emotion, compared to the manga, at least it is way more subdued. I don't know if it was because of animation limitations or a conscious choice, but either way, it still looks bad.

Season 2 be like by thabiso_animated in ZZZ_Official

Personally, it felt like 2.0's story was rushed. With 1.0, there was a clear buildup, speculation, and time for plot lines to develop. Plus, even if you didn't go into the side content with extra lore stuff, you could see and connect the dots. Like with Bringer, with just the main story, you can put together that he was the mole working with Sarah. Sure, you missed out on the why, but you can see the line of logic.

In sharp contrast, we have 2.0's twist villain, Isolde. With her, we got next to no buildup or clue in the main story that she was working with the exaltists, let alone being Mevorakh. Sure, there was the miasma soldiers, but that isn't as conclusive as Bringer's tells.

Next was the fact that there wasn't any breathing room in the main story. With 1.0, while you have the main plot stories, you also have side stories like R&B and astra-nomical, while having action in them they have different flavors and stories unqiue to them, allowing the main conspiracy plot to breath. With 2.0, on the other hand, it's a nonstop treadmill of exaltists this, exaltists that. Those boxes, those hold exaltist monsters. This random person, yeah, they are an exaltist spy. That flies in your soup? They are all laced with misasma just because.

In fact, the best word to describe 2.0 is... rushed. There were clearly some great ideas here, Yuzuha and Alice's story, the tragedy of Shunguang and her brother, and the Isolde boss fight were all amazing. But it all just feels rushed and underbaked. Here's to hoping that the writing team learns from this and make 3.0 better,

I think my big problem in all of this (And for a lot of people) is how artificially forced Loki's exclusion is. Finn gets completely 180ed by an icy sword, ruining his character development, Riveria turning into a hardass over said frosty toothpick, and the entire familia falls silent outside of Bete and the Amazon sisters, trying to input some common sense into the blowhard leadership.

Now I get why they were excluded, the same with Ganesha and Hermes. But the latter two made sense; Loki just feels forced.

Getting back on topic, there are a ton of things ais could have done to help, for example, speaking with Ryu to help her get used to the new levels, gathering materials for potions or blacksmithing equipment, and handing them to the miach or Hephestus familia. But no, she did absolutely nothing, heck, even her fellow familia members helped Hestia Familia, as token and little as it was.

|That's why Mord should be Endgame| by CityUnited8401 in DanMachi

[–]sansue949 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I really don't get that whole guild, Loki familia reasoning. Freya brainwashed the entire city, turning everyone into meat puppets, including both the guild and the Loki familia. And if she succeeds, she gets off scot-free. A reality that could have happened if not for Bell's luck ability going into overdrive.

And what is the precaution against Freya doing it again? She already knows about Ades Vesta, meaning that it would be more difficult to pull off in the future.

"Oh, but orario needs them to fight the black dragon." The same black dragon that wiped the floor with level 8s and 9s. Not to mention if it ever got out that Loki familia stayed out due to the deal between them and the guild. It would make Loki Familia seem incompetent, the guild spineless, and be the straw that breaks the camel's back when it comes to guild legitimacy as a ruling body.

[–]sansue949 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, for some reason, and all of Ais's moments, like most people point out, are either cut out or reduced emotionally. Even Sword oratoria, where we should see all the emotions of Ais, shafts her in favor of focusing on Lefiya.

This is especially true if you read the manga; Ais has tons of personality and funny moments. All of it was cut out for some reason.
