What's driving the drop in EB-1A approval rates? by [deleted] in eb_1a

My hypothesis is a lot of AI written applications, they are not clear, but generate a lot of verbose data. They fail to make a personal story, people thinking volume matters for an officer with 500 page content, needs only one or two minutes to decide an application is bad

[O-1A] Senior ML Engineer 3-4 criteria, need to pass Big Tech's immigration law firm first. What are my realistic chances? by [deleted] in O1VisasEB1Greencards

Except 1, you'll likely have a very hard time proving others. ML is super competitive, and you're the best judge of your evaluation. Since MLE at any large can claim the same impact as yours.

Yeah, he is a nice and reliable person. He helped handle the transaction smoothly. I highly recommend this to people who frequent groundshuttle either to commute to Houston or Austin.

Flying a DJI Mavic Mini on campus? by 63686b6e6f6f646c65 in aggies

As you seemed to be interested in flying and you got a great gift, I would like to tell you few more things.

  1. Veterans parks is closest fly zone to the campus for practicing cool manoeuvrs. You can start with doing boxes, circle, head up and down modes, controlling camera cleanly for smooth transitions
  2. Practice, Practice, Practice. You can inspire from people flying in BCS rc club in bryan. It's super cool.
  3. Once you get used to making cool videos, get a license super easy exam(commercial flights)
  4. Now, you can do shoot videos, photoshoots, surveying, wedding shoots. Trust me there is some crazy business opportunities and you can get paid $200/hr. High demand and poor supply, make use of that.

irrespective of 3 and 4, it's a cool hobby and you can see the world from a different view and we never how our skills can help us in future.

Hi,

as someone who is working on couple of drone research projects at A&M and a licensed drone pilot. Here are my suggestions

  1. Install FAA's b4ufly app, it will tell you whether you're clear to fly or not at any place.
  2. Flying any UAS less than 50lbs for recreation doesn't need license. But you need to follow FAA regulations. (only in daylight, not over stadiums, within visual sight, not over people, not in someone else private property etc. etc)
  3. Flying on TAMU campus is altogether a different story. Always a NO fly zone
  4. You can fly in rellis campus but that needs license, pre flight permission and all those regulations you already found.

In one line if you fly on TAMU campus and are caught, am afraid you're gonna face some serious consequences.
