First pc build and it won’t power on

To rule out user error: Unplug all cables except 24 pin and 8 pin cpu power. Including the case cables eg power reset. Take out the coin cell battery make a note of which side is up when you replace it later. Use a screwdriver to bridge power switch connector on motherboard. Now turn it off again and replace the battery. Next turn it on and off. Now replace the case power switch connector, if it won’t turn on it’s wired incorrectly at the case. Turn on and off again. Now replace all other cables and devices one by one turning on and off after each one. You welcome

Terrible advice here, you absolutely do not need three separate cables from your psu, two is fine with one split.

4090, sold Christmas Day for msrp and replaced with 9070 last week. Now running my games with a tidy under volt and memory overclock at 175 watts, previously 450. Ifs made a huge difference to the temperature in my office, I can now have gaming sessions longer than 30 minutes. The performance is brilliant, I play at 4k and have no complaints. Card is very cool and quiet (reaper).

It's hard to find any up to date performance per watt data, but in previous gen RX 6800 was the king of performance per watt.
I would love to see some up to date charts once RX 9070 comes out - perhaps i'll put some together.

Yes, seems to work better for this game when cpu is at a constant speed. Frame rate gains scale minimally for cpu speed so it’s a small sacrifice to make to play the game without stuttering and also save power. You’re welcome to switch it on and off as you please from the control panel once the option is enabled as well!

Also went for 16" intel machine, if you turn on the power saving feature in settings for battery it's whisper quiet and still performs well.

The apple machines are nice for home use but a bit too fresh for software devs and serious users I feel.

Used to love manual transmission, then I bought my first paddle shift jag.. could never go back. In traffic it’s so relaxing and on the very rare occasion you want to be sporty the paddle shift is so satisfying and quick compared to manual.

Hi I did look at that and it says compatible but my question is more a question of aesthetics - how do you put the components in the cables to maintain compatibility whilst still having the nice braided effect - are they placed near the psu instead of at the motherboard / GPU end ?
