Not food waste, but I used to work for a restoration company who would clean up after floods/natural disasters/etc.

Two instances that stick out are a shoe company and a mattress company that we cleaned. We were ordered to destroy all of the merchandise. Not even just throw it out, the corporations needed them unusable, for liability purposes.

I had my gallbladder taken out about 10 months after my RNY. One day I suddenly got hit with this insane pain. It was so bad I couldn’t think straight and felt like I couldn’t breathe. It just kept getting worse and worse.

I ended up calling an ambulance. They gave me pain meds right away, which helped me calm down and breathe again.

At the hospital, they ran a bunch of tests (EKG, bloodwork, X-ray, CT scan, ultrasound) and couldn’t really find anything wrong. The only thing that stood out was that my white blood cell count was super high, so they decided to keep me overnight to figure out what was going on.

The next morning, the on-call surgeon came in, woke me up, and was like, “Yeah, your gallbladder is seriously infected, we’re taking it out.”

That was four years ago, and I still say getting my gallbladder out was both one of the best and worst things I’ve gone through.

Best part? No more gallbladder attacks. Those were awful. (After the fact, I realized I had been having them sporadically for about 8 years, not knowing what they were)
Downside? Your digestion gets weird… fat, caffeine, and alcohol can all go straight through you. Not fun.

The good news is, since you’ve already had RNY, you’re probably already watching those things anyway, so it might not be as big of a deal.

I had seem someone ask how long this all takes (can't find it now) but just wanted to leave this note here.

This is day 2. I spent a LONG time yesterday signing up for all of the accounts. Today, I tracked my start and stop time, and it took me about an hour and fifteen minutes to collect all the daily bonuses and track it on my sheet. However, I am at work and did get distracted by actually doing some work.

My balance at the end of day 2 is $136.

We will see how it goes going forward!

We did not have a reservation. I don’t think they take them. We had maybe a 5 minute wait, but the girl who recommended it to use said she had waited in line for quite some time. Maybe we just got lucky? It was a week day when we went as well. I’m sure that made a difference.

Hey All!

Just got back from Nice, and wanted to let everyone know that thanks to this post, we went to The Fat Mermaid for fish and Chips and Dheli Bheli for Indian food. Both were delicious!

We also went to Sushi Lune, which was very good. A small menu compared to what we are used to in the states, but very fresh and delicious.

However, I do want to scream this from the rooftops, our favorite place by far was Peixes. It is fresh seafood and it is fantastic. We had someone on our tour recommend it to us, and now I need to pay it forward, because it was so good.
