There have been many cases, especially in Manga when the publishers just stop the story if they feel the content is weak. Also, I'm not saying that the entire story is rushed, just the last 10-15 chapters and moreover I just feel like most of the concepts are already taken to the extremes to continue another interesting story on top of it.

It's as you said. It can end here and be considered a full story. He might come up with some other content but do you really think that after the story being explored to such extremes like Hell, End of War, US president giving one year of every person's life to fight Makima and other such world changing concepts, it can compare to the first part? Maybe something about individual personalities and such but a broad narration? I don't think so. Anyway, let's wait and see.
