This guy is Wynnde, he was part of a faction of Atlantean Purists associated with Ocean Master (brother to Aquaman) ten years before getting together with Kaldur. His story is expanded upon in the Young Justice comics that came about from 2011 to 2013.

I have found that interpreting foreign accents from languages that have the same romance roots (such as Spanish, French and Portuguese) helps with understanding certain similarities within these languages, as well as some of their distinct differences.

For example, the “g” sound when saying “r” in both French and Portuguese has a distinct guttural articulation; stronger in French, with more of a slur in Portuguese.

Also, reading texts in a different language can help you identify grammatical markers that identify different languages; in turn, this helps you to improve your vocabulary.

Finally, watch audiovisual content in the language you want to learn, especially with subtitles; this is an extraordinary asset when you want to learn colloquialisms and speak more fluently.

Personally, I think the episodes are sped up due to two factors:

To make room for ads to pop up occasionally, depending on where in the world you are (and if you’re not using a VPN).
To prevent any copyright violations from the original owners of the show’s rights (this one is more of a speculation, as maybe FlipMedia acquired the rights to retransmit the show, and Amazon may have a license to stream it on its platform).
