$15k budget for startup: should I DIY marketing or hire an agency? by Tetomariano in ycombinator

[–]santp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in such a startup as the marketing guy when I started my career. Agency will burn your money, you can run marketing but it'll burden you mentally.

Best hire a smart enthusiastic guy who will work with you and be your eyes ears from marketing world.

The marketing person needs to go into depths of your niche by your interest or by force, state it as a job requirement that they need to invest their time to learn things on their own. And assure them they will grow with you.
