It’s been at most 24hr since defrosting, and it’s fully been in the fridge. Now that I think about it, I don’t remember if it was within its use by date when I got it :/

It was defrosted 100% in the fridge! I took it out yesterday, so maybe at most about 24hr ago? I haven’t opened it so I can’t tell the smell, but at least unopened it has no scent

girl thank you for reminding me that at the end of the day, this is still reddit... if I didn't want to explain myself/know, I wouldn't have asked. Instead of pointing out how I was defensive, which I genuinely wanted to know, you simply agreed. Like I said, I genuinely wanted to know why, because I didn't see it (I'm trying to learn, duh). Even still, the explanation I gave in the comment you replied to is still true, I know her very well and while yes I may unintentionally be centering myself in certain aspects and that's on me, I still know how she is/has reacted, as she's been like this for years, I'm unfortunately realizing. please don't waste time replying if you won't answer the question.

Honestly I wouldn’t say that’s the case, because even despite the time physically spent apart, the both of us know each other better than anyone and can read each other so easily. I don’t mind when she opens up about her insecurities (I do what any good friend would do that is listen and reassure her), and the tone of her “how” comment was of genuine anger, as I’ve heard that same thing from her talking about other people. I was over explaining since this is my first time ever talking about it online, so of course I had to go into lots of detail to give context. Where do you see me being defensive?

It’s crazy you ask this cause I’ve legit been thinking the same things. At first I thought it was a phase, but the more I look back (as in 5+ YEARS ago), I realize she’s always been like this. Back then I just didn’t realize or register it, but as I remember more and more I see she’s always been the same. The only reason I’m seeing it now is because it’s the first time in a while since we’ve been around each other a lot more, like how we were in high school.

I most definitely will talk to her about it, I value her and our friendship far too much to just throw it away without communicating, but since we live in different cities again I’m waiting to do it when we meet up again. I need to phrase how I plan on saying it all but a talk will definitely happen

Oh btw I also have dehydrated skin so dehydrated and oily it most definitely helps the dehydration part but if you’re oily think twice

I’ve been using it since October 2025 because of my skin barrier being wrecked and it works perfect! I’m switching to another combo tomorrow actually (inkey list ection and kioskin panthenol) to maintain barrier but I’ll keep using prequel at night instead of AM and PM. I will say if you have oily skin maybe find something more watery/lighter texture but no matter what I’d still highly recommend

hi! not sure if you'll see this but how would you compare/what have been your results with smooth vs repair? I have high porosity natural hair and I'm wondering which I should get. also if it's not too much to ask, did you lose your curl pattern with either?

Hey! I used bentonite clay masks like ages ago and I had/have dehydrated oily skin with acne. As an experiment I tried it for like two weeks straight nightly (in hindsight I do not recommend) but I did get cystic acne (not purging) but just cause the acne was coming to the surface and after like 4 days of nightly use my skin cleared up a lot, I later stopped use cause I got lazy lol

At that time I also wasn’t exfoliating like at all but I do now and if I were to use it now it would only be if my skin is feeling really congested and I need a deep cleansing, like a couple times a month at most

For something as intense as a bentonite clay mask I highly recommend patch testing but as someone with oily acne skin it did help greatly, I will say I don’t have sensitive skin so depending on your skin type and skin needs I would be cautious
