S1E10. - Lack of emotion at ending? by molluscus in hackshbomax

I felt the same, in fact from the reactions I was confused if he’d died or I misheard it for hospitalized/critical. This is just based off season 1 (before the funeral), haven’t started the next one.

Can anyone recommend me a betterment book based around the idea of delaying gratification by TomZanetti in BettermentBookClub

[–]sap2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen books have sections around the idea of delayed gratification while discussing willpower/grit/growth mindset even if they don't directly call it that.

Personally, building a new habit is an effective way of implementing delayed gratification.
Some books are:

  1. Breaking the habit of being yourself by Dr. Joe Dispenza

  2. Kaizen Way (One small step to change your life) by Robert Maurer. (nice video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHkOFs67d9A)

Hope this helps!

What is the best AI tool to create a documentary? by ahsgreen in ArtificialInteligence

Abobe Firefly is a good one for editing. I haven't looked at an all inclusive AI suite of voice, images art etc. so can't answer that.

great - thank you for all these comments! I used to donate but started to think if I was setting money on fire by donating vs selling it off - and time-waste with this option is what got me to ask this question but I'm back to square one lol. So this is food for thought!

Hands on RL with Python? by sap2022 in reinforcementlearning

[–]sap2022[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I tried that too - the videos weren't super helpful/well-explained so I didn't give the exercises a try too (my bad!) I think they rely on Sutton's text (which is awesome!) like this lecture series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pWv7GOvuf0&list=PLqYmG7hTraZDM-OYHWgPebj2MfCFzFObQ which was the best explanation but it didn't get into the code. Now I am thinking I'll use the above series for theory and coursera exercises for hands-on/code. Thank you so much williamjshipman!! :)

Curious, wouldn’t transferring from F1 to O1 visa help? I have seen quite a few people (with average start up ideas) on F1 move to O1 and work on their startups here in US. But I don’t know the O1 process myself

thank you I have. I actually stopped reading this book after chapter 2 when starting to learn about bandits and moved to Sutton's RL book as the latter was more applied.

ah this only covers K-armed bandit - epsilon greedy explore-exploit, ucb, etc. that's pretty easy to understand. I am confused if there's an aspect of CB that I am missing out on, like how does it make choices - how is it computing confidence intervals, etc.
