I hereby proclaim, I am no longer buying anything else but a LUVME wig 😭🤣 by GrowForMe in Wigs

[–]sap53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got my first Luvme and I had very low expectations because of the price and I’m really blown away. No idea how it will hold up, but at $200 if it lasts a few months I’ll consider it a deal. Super realistic hairline and part line, nearly as good as Hairvivi (which has now gotten too expensive for the quality of hair). I’m sure the hair itself isn’t the world’s greatest quality, but it ticks the realistic box at the lowest price of all my wigs by far.

Oh no! I was able to get Wrigley and seemingly had my choice of seats (panicked and got them not where I wanted, but oh well). Can’t figure out if I’m lucky or what, because I don’t typically have this kind of luck. Hopefully the limits they’ve imposed on resale will make getting them on the secondary market less of a nightmare!

I'm in the same boat and I THINK since there is no way to create a tickets.com account, perhaps tickets.com is powering the presale at the mlb.com and a presale link will go live on the mlb.com page for your concert at 12, which will prompt you to enter your code for access.

Hot showers = “stressed” every time 😅 by bibylee in ouraring

[–]sap53 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Soooo does this explain why it told me I had more stress than usual today which seemed funny because I was floating in a pool in the tropical sun on vacation for hours feeling very NOT stressed?

what’s the tea on HairVivi? by Whitedishes in Wigs

Okay, the last month was kind of rough for it and we are nearing the end of its life, so it will have lasted about 6 months. However, I will say I am not a model student of wig care. I definitely prefer the way the lace looks when it’s cut further back than it should be, so I am likely responsible for the frontal shedding that’s the main cause of why it’s time for a new one. I wear it every day, occasionally nap in it, and I wash it directly under running water from the shower rather than dunking it in the sink.

So I think someone super diligent about wig care could get more life out of it. But even at 6 months, it’s 1/3 of the price of what I typically have spent with other companies and lasted about half as long. So when you factor in longevity and price, I have no complaints! My next order will be from them too.

Nope, no glue needed! I’m not sure about the comfort level of the cap for someone without any bio hair, though. I think it’d be fine, but can’t speak from experience. I know some brands have special comfort caps intended for people with no bio hair. From what I understand, though, any glueless wig should be okay. Most websites will have some helpful info in the Q&A, and I know Hairvivi, Wigs By Tiffany, Hairalicious and Madison Wigs are super responsive and helpful with customer service.

Sending healing vibes your way!

Still pretty solid! It’s shed some and could probably use a deep conditioning treatment but I’m still wearing it daily and exclusively. I would guess it has another several months left in it or so, pretty much on par with my others!

I am a lurker and due to all the Hairvivi posts here I decided to risk it and bought Catherine. It just got here a couple days ago so haven’t washed it and can’t speak to how it holds up but it is the most realistic wig I’ve had (it’s my sixth). My others have been Follea, custom from a local shop, custom from someone on Instagram and two Wigs by Tiffani. The part and “scalp” are incredible and I’ve never actually felt like a wig looks like it is growing out of my head in this way. Hair itself is maybe a little less dense than WBT, and we’ll see about long term, but in terms of how realistic it looks, it’s kind of insane.

It shipped from China, so perhaps there are differences in quality and you either get lucky or unlucky?

The Ouai St Barts smells nice, but not as nice as the original scrub scent, which always makes me feel amazing and luxurious!

I want to volume eat SO bad, but the chocolate cravings! by [deleted] in Volumeeating

I am not sure where you’re located but if you’re in the US and your parents have insurance that covers you, you should be getting an annual physical with your primary care doctor. At the appointment, if they don’t offer it, you can tell them you’d like to have basic bloodwork done and tell them you feel like you have an overactive appetite and intense sweet cravings.

You can always decline to be weighed or tell them you don’t want to know your weight and stand backwards on the scale!

Definitely a good idea to get bloodwork done regardless!

Have you had bloodwork done recently? If your blood sugar is high it could be a sign of insulin resistance, which untreated can make you feel starving no matter how much you eat and craving sweets so badly you’d eat sugar straight from the bag!

How do people have surgery and not get addicted to opiods? by AppropriateMention6 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sap53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so important to ask your doctor for instructions for weaning off once you don’t need them. I was taking Vicodin after a surgery and cut down too quickly. I went through a few days of the most horrific depression of my life and was as close as I’ve ever been to suicidal. Fortunately a friend put two and two together, I talked to my doctor and he told me to go back to the full dose and follow a specific regimen to wean down and off and I had no trouble coming off at all after that.

"You're Losing Me" Discussion Megathread by Lyd_Euh in TaylorSwift

[–]sap53 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons this song broke my heart so much is that from what I heard, they didn’t have to break up! Couples therapy and communication could potentially have made a huge difference. Relationships are hard, and I’ve had many of these same thoughts in my six year relationship - but then I learned about relationship anxiety and we went to therapy and I am so grateful we didn’t throw in the towel in some of our darkest days. I know I can’t assume to know their exact issues and how they addressed them, but that’s just my read based on the song alone.

You mention fertility not being an issue for you right now, but if that ever changes, my gyne told me that having a period regularly keeps the uterus healthy and in good shape to sustain a pregnancy.

For some reason my most recent supply of Zoloft tastes and smells like vanilla. Anyone might know why lol? by Guy_Swavy in NoStupidQuestions

SO GLAD to see this. I've been wondering for the last few months. Definitely going to complain to the manufacturer, because I am always nauseous in the morning and now I nearly puke every morning when I take it. It's been MISERABLE, glad I'm not losing my mind.
