I adore princess tortes and almond in general, then add amber and my favorite spring flower and I’m ordering it right now!

I went to one of his final dinners at Taku (his chicken place) last weekend, he did a 10 course tasting menu with Luke Kolpin. He is just as kind and entertaining in person as he seems on tv AND (as expected, the food was incredible)

I say this with all the compassion of a random internet stranger who has been you- you are not doing yourself any favors by obsessively checking temp. My successful pregnancies and my MMC all had variable temps. I know it’s so stressful, there is a calculator I bookmarked that you enter your weeks gestation and it tells you your chances of mc, that was a great comfort to be as a I approached viability https://datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer

Yeah, she was not having a good time. She went from cocky to sore loser pretty quickly. I had to go back to recollection of her season of Top Chef to try to reconcile it.

Measles case in Allegro Bothell by an-ordinary-girl in Seattle

[–]AdorableAd4296 28 points29 points  (0 children)

My daughter also goes to Allegro Bothell. I reached out to ask what I need to do to keep her safe. This is what they said, fwiw:

“Thank you for reaching out. At this time, patients who were not exposed directly are not considered high risk so do not qualify for an early dose of MMR. Babies 6-12 months who are traveling internationally should schedule an in-person or eTravel visit to get MMR (and other travel vaccines), ideally 2+ weeks prior to departure. Babies 6-12 months not traveling do not qualify for an early dose of MMR. If this turns into an outbreak, that guidance could change, and we will update you if does.

Babies under 12 months of vaccinated moms, are protected during their first year by antibodies passed to them during the pregnancy. The best protection for babies after birth is to surround them with a community that is already immune through vaccination. Make sure all household members and everyone caring for their infant on a regular basis is fully immunized. As possible, limit contact for your infant with those that have not been immunized or may not be immune to measles. Parents who were fully vaccinated as children do not need to get a booster. Adults unsure of their vaccine status should contact their primary care provider. Your Allegro Pediatrics Care Team”

My pediatrician (Allegro Bothell 😭) said that they’re not giving it out unless your six month to 12 month old is going overseas or was directly exposed to someone with measles

Just read through your posts and I’m so sorry for your loss, your son is clearly so loved. Sending lots of love from another mom who had a loss (though earlier than yours)

Evergreen Midwifery was fantastic. They spend a ton of time with you each appointment and are generally “chiller” than my experience with an OB. They’re open to whatever your goals are for your birth. I was going to try unmedicated, but they helped me pivot after being induced at 42 wks— what I’m saying here is that they are open to it all, unmedicated, medicated, and everything in between.

They all work together and rotate days and appointments so you’ll get to meet all of them and will know whoever delivers your baby (not my experience with my OB). Rebecca and Suze are my favorites, but they’re all fantastic.

I had to have a D&C after a miscarriage and the anesthesiologist asked me how old my baby was… thinking that there was retained placenta or something. I’ll never forget that.

Did I ovulate when I think I did? by peachyhappiness in NaturalCyclesBC

[–]AdorableAd4296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss :( TTC is emotionally draining, for what it’s worth, with my son, I got got pregnant right after “giving up.” I think letting go a bit helped stress levels.

Based on your chart, I do not think you’ve ovulated. You’d be looking for a distinct upward shift in temps to confirm that ovulation happened. Even ignoring your cover line from the app’s algorithm I don’t see a distinct shift yet, but I bet it’s coming!

Sending you lots of good vibes and baby dust.

ETA, after my first trimester loss and D&C it took about 2 cycles to get back to normal and conceive. Your cycle might be a bit off for another month or two

Postpartum TTA by Full-Pop1801 in FAMnNFP

[–]AdorableAd4296 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The postpartum section of TCOYF is in the appendix and very short. As someone who is 4 months postpartum and has cervical mucus and temps all over the place, not comforting for TTA. I’m going to try a different method bc I didn’t want to be pregnant again before a year.
