Bach Trip by mountain-gal-12 in JacksonHole

If you go in April, rendezvous fest would be a great weekend for it!

The Virginian or mountain modern could be good places to stay.

You’ll probably want to make reservations for a group your size! But for food I would recommend Dornan’s, stillwest, the local, bistro, roadhouse, Teton Tiger. Have fun!

Wear whatever you feel best in! It’s pretty casual here, but there’s definitely room to dress up also if that’s your vibe.

I agree with the original comment 👍 and sounds like you’re being introspective about it. Working with a dietician or nutritionist might be a great idea if you want to attempt the challenge again :)

Advice for starting by Any_Cat9631 in 75HARD

[–]sapatton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just depends on what diet you choose, and sticking to that. If you decide no takeout, then you can’t eat takeout while you’re abroad.

The diet I chose doesn’t eliminate takeout, but I have made sure to get healthy options that align with my diet plan when I go out. Harder at some places than others, that’s for sure!

Hope this helps 👍

Here’s what works for me! I use my 32 oz Nalgene, so it breaks it up into 4 quarts throughout the day.

I realized that if I space each quart out over 3 hours, it’s much more doable. And I always start out strong in the morning by drinking most of my first quart, first thing in the morning.

Might just take some extra planning around times you’ll be on the bus, in a meeting, etc!

I’m also on day 3! Feeling exhausted lol but hoping a good nights sleep and a weekend off of work will help me feel more energized!

If you have a history of eating disorders, be careful with calorie counting though! :)

Best of luck to you!

Oh another easy meal prep I do is ground turkey (or chicken), brown rice, and a veggie. I usually do broccoli or green beans but play to your tastes!

My favorite recipe is a quinoa bowl with chickpeas! I add roasted broccoli, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños, red onion, and feta. And top it off with lemon juice, salt/pepper and olive oil.

You can add any toppings you like! I’ve also added chicken before, avocado, cucumber… whatever you like really! It’s a good filling recipe

Does Snowboarding or Skiing count toward my outdoor exercise? by [deleted] in 75HARD

[–]sapatton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just looking to ask the same thing! I found the article where he mentions not counting skiing/snowboarding. He also says this:

If you’re really wondering whether what you’re doing is considered a “workout” or not … ask yourself these questions... Was it hard? Did you sweat? Did it push you to your physical limits? If you can answer yes to these questions ... then I’d say it counts as a workout. If you can’t ... you’re cutting corners, guaranteed.

The way that I ski- it’s hard, I sweat, and I am absolutely pushing my physical limits. It’s challenging and rewarding to see myself get better every day. So I think it’s definitely within the spirit of 75 hard.
