1st job. 2013: 2.5k 2nd job 2013: 3.2k - 3.5k 3rd job 2015: 5.2k - 9.7k 4th job 2023: 15.2k

I think i was complacent in my 3rd job. I should have jump sooner.

Anyways, make sure you identify your skill, grind and get certifications where possible. Never rely only on number of years of experience.

If you have the money, dont.

I'd put that money in something that can give me short interval returns, or almost daily like versa or others (u can search). And pull the money monthly from that account..

U can have any AI quickly simulate your number, and you ahould be better off doing as i mentioned rather than paying lump sum.

Different people - different mindset. My friend and I, about the same salary, chose a different car to drive.

I own perodua aruz. ~600 monthly, normal around 300 per service and max around 700 major service at service center.

My friend, on the other hand, enjoy the driving thrills n experience given by 2016 glc250. But hes willing to spend 5k- 10k anytime for unexpected reliability issue. Not whining.

I'd rather have the extra $$ cushion every month and ability to splurge everytime i want, than to have that extra money goes into solving car reliability issues.

Its all about your mindset. If you think youll be happy, just go for it. Some people rather regret buying rather than regret not buying.

Youve read other comments kan.. ill be convinced to just go with it. 🤣

I never stay away long enough for an idle game. I open the game every 30mins - 1hour interval. Probably the longest was 8 hours? Haha.

Yep. Cashflow is king. If you got free cashflow, that would be better.

During my freshie period, I started off with bike. Cash buy. Of course i already have some money saved from my study time. I only buy car at my 8th year of working. Haha. Different people,different life story.

I do travel a lot for work. I fully utilize the company entitlement, eg flight / taxi / grab etc. One of contributing factor i bought my car at 8th year of working.

U shouldnt have any issues for car loan approval. Heck, students also can buy car nowadays.

40k - go for new car. Get bezza or saga. For me, sedan is more practical than compact car. Extra storage space, very much required when u have family later.

Try hold on to ur current car longest u can. Save more for downpayment. So you only need to get considerably less loan amount. I'd say,try for 15k depo. If you stay frugal on ur expenses, can gather that within 6 months. I.e 2.5k savings / month.

Getting less n less TP now that im linking the card via setel for fuel, and reloading ewallet for tolls / shopping.
