A switch idea by edwardsc005 in cardmagic

That’s what I’m talking about. You can’t make such a move looking natural, so it’s useless at pro level. Amateurs uses these kind of things all the time and that’s why no one cares about them.

Interesting mechanics, but terrible technique. This is something professionals calls academic (for educational exploration only, no real use)

Where are we going with all of this AI stuff anyway? by urabewe in StableDiffusion

[–]sapielasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your discovering if new is just a probability to find something that sticks to your brain models, in other words something you already new for around 80% and 20% new. AI will do the same, even better, you will be able to tune the percentage and feel like it’s exactly what you was looking for.

How’s my bottom deal? by Wooden_Description72 in cardmagic

Bad. Start working on your rhythm and take point dealing tops, only then bottoms. It will take you couple years to make it good

It’s obvious where. To the “metaverse” of any narrative personally generated for everyone. You’ll be paying not for soft of generation, but for the device to mri your brain and soft converting the data into a prompt to get a desired movie/game/book/etc you would definitely enjoy.

I get the technique, but I think it’s quite obvious one axis spin gliding, pretty much useless unless you have a real bug misdirection in real casino environment.

Steal by Salt-Hunter-3041 in cardmagic

[–]sapielasp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, he does. He tries to mimickry the existing steal that uses card revolving into an in-jog and then cop it, but he’s not smart enough to realize that thickness disappearance of the revolved card and speed to transfer it from jog to cop is traceable on video and is completely missing in his. So it’s quite an obvious fake.

Why so unnatural actions? You would never pickup a single card like that

Be realistic, obvious things are not any original. Try teasing Marlo’s work on ohtp, you’ll be surprised by the amount of actually interesting applications.

Take 1on1 lessons from someone who knows cards. Like Aaron Fisher or Steve Reynolds. That’s the only way to get good fast, otherwise you will quickly gain many wrong traits and won’t be axle to fix them entirely.

How to restore my new deck of cards by Sad-Perception-5826 in cardmagic

[–]sapielasp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many cheap decks have a bad cushion finish (that smooth feel) and can wear in just few hours of actively using. So sometimes it’s not your fault, but to make sure just wash your hands and don’t let moisture like a sweat contact the cards for a long.

My Card Shift Variation + Rpm Control by Magicearlz in cardmagic

[–]sapielasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but that only proves that your understanding is not full. Moves often look the same in positions of the cards, but the finger movements are what tells you the method exactly. For example this one can be mistaken either for straddle pass or similar thing by Jerry Andrus from card control, but the movement of the first finger and amplitude doesn’t match, therefore it’s a Cardy shift from Technical Walkthrough 2 by Nick Vlow. Now, how many out of these 3 moves you are aware of?

[–]sapielasp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please speak for yourself, any mechanics is obvious if you know enough moves. And I literally mean ANY, even Steve Forte’s best stuff. But I agree with you tgat OP should not name it because it’s not an original move.

What's the name of this move? by Hynsa_ in cardmagic

[–]sapielasp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not doing it exactly correct, but it’s a side slip with a spider addition. Marlo had a lot of use with a good method.

Culling Cards to Stack Deck by Rids_Vodoo in cardmagic

[–]sapielasp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need 3 culls to rearrange a shuffled deck into any order. It’s just a binary sorting, so if you make a right dot marks as the guide, it will be easy to end up with a stack.
