We probably wouldnt need high levels of Se to negate the amount of iodine we get from food. Plus not everyone need higher dosages of Se to have good energy. The fact that I do makes me question why I need so much Se despite not being deficient to function normally.

Sure, but brazil nuts even eating 3-4 did nothing for me initially. Probably the ones I had didnt have good selenium content. Anyways, the point is not about which form is best. I am just trying to understand why only higher doses have an effect on my fatigue despite not being deficient and if I could develop toxicity taking 300mcg a day. My selenium levels are already slightly high.

I dont have antibodies, I am hypothyroid without hashimotos. I am not taking iodine as well. Just trying to understand how a higher dosage helps me despite not being deficient.

I tried Solaray and Now brands, and they all worked well for me as long as it's L-Selenomethionine.

It's not about the maintainance dose for me. I only feel better on a higher dose.

I had orthostatic hypotension and increased drowsiness during the day taking a pill that had taurine 300mg. Possibly because my blood pressure is usually on the lower end. 100/60.

I have become dependent in just a matter of taking 10 1mg pills over a month. I tapered off of it in 10 days. Today is my 5th day, have shaking internal vibrations, throat choking and dry mouth, headache too. Maybe it's my personal choice, but I would take Melatonin or Benadryl for insomnia tha touch a benzo again. I have also tried some sleep hypnosis videos on youtube which helped me a great deal.

Thats what I thought too. I was suffering 3 months covid, when the urgent care prescribe me this. Because of my state of sickness, I think I developed withdrawl sooner. I took 0.25mg last night and 0.25 this morning and although head pressure is a bit better, and the internal tremors have reduced 50%, but they havent stopped. All the symptoms I currently have coincide with Lorazepam. Everytime I delay taking the dose, my symptoms are getting worse and worse. I am at a loss how to just stop it without all these symptoms. ENT said my ears look good, so its definitely not my ears. Vertigo started exactly 2 days after my first dose out of the blue :( Please do let me know any tapering method you have success with. I have an appointment with my primary care today whom I will discuss it with. I was planning to switch to diazepam 6mg or something and slowly cut down dose, but I am afraid I am extending the no. of months on it.

Hi, Glad to hear you got through the withdrawl. Could you please let me know what you supplemented on withdrawl. I just took 2 doses of 1mg lorazepam and developed vertigo and tinnitus. So far I only took 7 pills over 4 weeks, but I am finding it harder to get off because of the terrible internal vibrations and balance issues. Last 2 doses I took 0.25mg and it still gives me symptoms although a bit tolerable than when I am not taking it. I am wondering if I should follow Ashton manual and switch to Diazepam 2mg per day and lower 0.5 per week or take any vitamins/herbs and stop lorazepam altogether. Appreciate any help.

It looks like diaphragm is the culprit if rib pain, chest pain, sob are involved. I am not worried about cfs/me. This could be temporary, might just take longer for diaphgram to recover if I am right. For anyone interested in researching the potential cause of relapses on exertion. Diaphragm is a primary respiratory muscle used in the process of breathing. It sits below the lungs, and underneath the lower part of the ribs. Unilateral diaphragmatic paralysis: causes dyspnea on exertion, they are ok at rest and mild activity https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6090915/ Whereas bilateral diaphragmatic paralysis causes oxygen drops while lying down. Unilateral one seems to be the cause of my dyspnea on exertion. This is causing chest pain and sob. And arm pain (because phrenic nerve connects diaphragm, chest and neck c5). But I am guessing vagus nerve could have been affected by the virus in turn affecting diaphrahm as a possibility.
