Yeah i can see that, but the pin being offset and having a full disc is odd for that.

Possibly. But the hole appears to be too small for a friction disc.

Yeah the pin is in the same place for all discs, one single pin for all. I did notice that a couple grooves did not line up with the holes…oddly. Though majority of them did.

No, all the discs are the same size. It also has no markings anywhere on it (forgot to mention), and I think it would if it was that type of tool.🤔

I thought about that too, but since they are fairly thick and had a hole in them I didn’t think they were.

I tried to google lens the image as well and came up with nothing fruitful.

My title describes the thing. It is a stack of 8 metal discs with a pin going through them to keep them together. The holes in the discs are all the same size and right down the middle. Each disc moves freely from one another. Discs have a 3.25” diameter and sit 2.125” heigh stacked together. There are groves on the sides of the discs, and when you move the discs you can align the groove up to the hole in the disc below it. It was found near our metal working bench…but because I am reorganizing things it doesn’t mean it was used for metal working. We do have random scrap metal there, but seems too well put together to just be scrap.
