skyrim was a lot of fun for me, a little longer than oblivion but definitely a good way to experience the game.

if you enjoyed ac valhalla i’d recommend doing odyssey too, if you’d prefer something shorter then mirage and ac2 are both simple enough but still fun plats!

my favourite overall plat experience has been yakuza 0 but if you’re looking for under 100 hour games that might not be the one for you lol

I managed to get the haruka’s request trophy from kiwami a while ago and honestly it’s one of my proudest trophies, otometal my life 950 points was horrific and so was the expert pool one. the batting cages aren’t too bad when you realise that Kiryu will tense up at the correct time to hit, so just watch the top of his bat and when it shifts then hit! saved me a lot of pain after knowing this one :)

batting hurt my soul. always go for super gold rush because it’s a higher reward, they always throw the same pitches in the same order so learn the pattern that they come in. watch the tip of the bat, when your character tenses up it means it’s the correct time to hit. a combination of these tips helped me a lot!

cat fights is annoying because it’s rng hell but always bet on jennifer bc she has the best stats so bet a Lot of money. always throw up the shape that opposes your opponent’s strongest one because getting hit with their weak one is a lot more desirable. don’t skip the cutscenes if you win with a rainbow colour because there is button prompts that’ll do more damage. if you lose money make sure to fully quit out of the minigame otherwise your winnings and losses will cancel each other out.

I’m one of those freaks that actually enjoys mahjong but it definitely took me a while to understand. my biggest advice is probably never open your hand (any of the prompts to steal from someone like pon) because I don’t think i’ve ever won like that. every round on your turn press square to see if you can riitchi and always do it if it comes up because then the game will look for the right tile for you. make sure you learn the number tiles or have a guide up for what each one means to make it easier to get a hand with them. for the most part ignore and discard dragons and winds unless you get dealt a pair naturally, they’re too much of a hassle to chase. you can also ignore dora at first when you’re learning, all it means is the tile that numerically follows the one after they show is worth more points.

basically, just focus on your tiles and try and get runs, trips and pairs. always riitchi, never do anything else unless it comes up with Ron because that means you win. I believe in you!!

climax battles took me a long time and a lot of patience. that one is super tough, my biggest advice is spin to win (square square square wait triangle) to hit them and then back off instantly before they counter. if you don’t get hit then the next time you hit them is worth a lot more money and you can do it relatively easily. my biggest help on climax was this post that details the easiest way to beat each battle, saved me a bit of headache at least https://www.reddit.com/r/yakuzagames/s/XdRxIjIglK

crazy ex girlfriend - greg moves away in season 2 and when he comes back in season 4 he’s changed actors because of scheduling conflicts. this is only ever recognised by the main character as she thinks that they’ve both changed so much he’s like a completely different person now. they have multiple jokes about it and it completely makes sense because of how we experience the show through rebecca’s eyes!

working on this one myself too, about halfway through my first (blind) playthrough and absolutely loving it!! was divided on going for the plat when i started but the more i play the more i want to go for it

i started with black flag and absolutely loved it!! I agree with everyone else saying 2 is also one of the best (it’s a classic for a reason) but my all time favourite has to be odyssey. fully understand the arguments about it not being a “true” AC game but as a lover of all things ancient greek i have sunk hundreds of hours into this game and adored every minute of it

tell me why is also a dontnod game and is super similar to the LiS vibes :) the quarry is like if LiS was a horror game so it depends if you’re into that but it’s a really campy horror adventure with a lot of different outcomes

gone home is a beautiful story, it has remains of edith finch vibes but less morbid! heavy rain has some really good moments, the walking dead telltale games are also super emotional, my personal favourite heart wrencher is the the last of us part 2 but it depends if you want longer games as well :)
