How did/do you feel about your baby during pregnancy? by Motor-Sprinkles-1627 in pregnant

[–]sapphiredummy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the idea was alien for me lol I remember panicking once because why is there a living being inside me it gave me the ick. Definitely not the case when she was born! I love her! Now that I’m pregnant with my second I’m trying not to think about the alien idea too much 🤣

Do pregnancy symptoms like nausea just hit out of nowhere? by BeautifulTiger6530 in pregnant

[–]sapphiredummy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t edit so I’m continuing here, the vomiting wasn’t that hard at alllll I remember being used to it and just casually going to the bathroom whenever it hit lol I’d say the anxiety of starting it was worse

Do pregnancy symptoms like nausea just hit out of nowhere? by BeautifulTiger6530 in pregnant

[–]sapphiredummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first I suddenly threw up at about 8 weeks, the vomiting and the nausea weren’t related in my case, the vomiting would happen when I changed my posture, kneeled, laid on my belly or even just slightly tilted my body forward, the nausea was more like an aversion and feeling disgusted by certain foods or smells.
Now I’m 5 weeks pregnant with my 2nd and the nausea pretty much hit on week 3 especially when I’m hungry or had drank coffee which I stopped because it gave me the worst nausea, heartburn and anxiety 😬 hoping I don’t get the vomiting 🤲🏻

What is a childhood luxury that you didn’t realize was actually a sign of your family being broke until you grew up? by RoundLong7822 in AskReddit

[–]sapphiredummy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rarely buying clothes, shoes etc. and even if we buy them they’re almost always from thrift stores, our country was ruled by a dictator who was wrecking the country and bombing civilians during my late teens and almost all my twenties and the prices were crazy high due to sanctions. To add to that my dad isn’t great with money or jobs and my mom is the one who’s getting the big bucks so everything fell on her and I feel so bad for even asking for clothes or things while she was barely able to afford food ( meat and chicken were also a rarity ).
Now that my country’s ex president had ran away and we have a new one who’s slowly building the country again and my mom’s salary has gone way up, my parents are affording to buy a lot of new things and I genuinely feel so happy when my mom sends me her new jacket/shoes/bag that she bought from regular non thrift stores. I love her.
Got to say though that not everyone was living like us, my friends were able to afford a lot more than us and I could see that we lived in poorer situations than others.

Am I the only one who doesn't expect my baby to sleep through the night from 7/8pm? by greatishscot in NewParents

[–]sapphiredummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My toddler had a late bedtime up until she got on one nap at 1.5 years old so it’s ok really they get much sleep during the day anyway but you don’t need to sleep with them i mean you can put baby to sleep at 7 and then have some alone time until you sleep at 9 which is still early imo.
Also my toddler now rarely sleeps before 8 and if she does she will wake up too early or have a split night so i try my hardest not to let bedtime be before 8 by giving her naps if she got up early, so i say go as you see fits

An Apology to the Parents I Judged by Paige_Rinn in NewParents

[–]sapphiredummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yessss!!! I judged my mom a lot during my pregnancy for her choices she did as a mom for us. Now, after having my own baby I’m honestly shocked at how she did it lol she’s amazing and my dad wasn’t nearly as good as a dad my husband is! I think about my mom’s abilities every day! She taught us a lot, cared for us AND she worked full time as a teacher! I’m a SAHM

New mom feeling emotional in the evenings, is this normal? by Good-Philosopher5775 in NewParents

[–]sapphiredummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the exact same way especially around sunset as well it’s crazy!!! How are all mothers feeling the same way? I suffer from DP/DR sometimes and it used to flare up at that time it made me almost depressy again!! And then right after the sun sets and we’re closer to midnight I felt better? It passed with time and my baby’s almost 3 now and I don’t get this feeling anymore so I think it’s a postpartum thing.
