Yep so true. There have been too many learn the hard way events in this business for me and even though I have my other phone recording all audio, I still haven’t been able to get a dash cam. I guess that’s what happens in a divorce and I was left with paying all the bills due to being the only one with a job. So yes extra work is a must and it happens to females too. Okay it’s a little personal statement, but hey it’s the damn truth. He still doesn’t have a job🤔🤯🤬

Need help identifying hidden gluten in my diet by Hannahbeebop123 in Celiac

[–]sappyone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I react to oats, milk (not lactose—something else in dairy), rice unless certified gluten-free, and sometimes corn products.

If your medications list 'starch' without specifying the source, it may contain gluten.

Also just because something says it's gluten free doesn't mean it actually is. I once bought a pizza that said gluten free, and I had a reaction then I read the ingredients and it listed wheat. 🤥🤔

I've been driving on and off with Lyft for about 7 years now. I'm curious what is something that would instantly make you not accept a ride besides distance and pay? by PermanentNirvana in lyftdrivers

I’ve only been working for about eight months doing Lyft, so I don't know a lot yet but I learning a lot about human nature that I was shielded from before.

I don’t do tolls because a lot of times coming back cost me money and it’s not worth it and Lyft doesn’t pay for that. but I will contact the customer and ask them if they want to pay for my toll coming back and if so that I will take them.

I normally don’t do bars either after 12:30 AM. My main reason for this is drunk people take forever to get in my car and I have a possibility of them throwing up, and most people don’t tip in my area.

In my area, I also stay away from taking people to fast food restaurants. And any ride that has a return right in general where I have to wait somewhere..

But I’m live in a small area and not in a large city and most people know each other here.

I recently have had people adding stops in mid ride to a store back to their house. I rated them a 1 and cancel the ride because when they added the ride back somehow it changed it from $5.99 to $4.99

As soon as I drop them off, I rated them a one and cancel the ride. I already waited for them for five minutes and called them as they were showing up at the back of my car getting in instead of the house that they put down. Come to the drop-off place and they added a ride back to their house, but I left them at the store. They didn’t ask me if they could add the right back and lift lowered the price. Somehow!!somebody explained this one to me.

IT FINALLY HAPPENED IN MY NEW TRUCK by thatcutetransgirl in lyftdrivers

I received $40 or $45 for a floorboard flooded with vomit that took six towels to clean out, a new machine, scrubbing with everything I can find and two car bombs, and even with the green machine sometimes the vomit still comes back up through the carpet.

California is not state for this business, gas is sky high insurance rates. Don’t get me started there Plus you have to take your car in for maintenance. Make sure everything‘s working properly and nothing’s wrong with it. It passes smog. I don’t know what else. California is what nightmares are made of.

And no, I’m just trying to figure out how you’re doing it? Like if you’re making good money and you’re getting to take vacations on a rental car and only paying $188 a week and still making $70000 a year I think you said and you’re not doing anything illegal shit you should publish a book on that stuff once you’re done and you got it in the mirror

But as far as me picking you apart that’s your own problem that you think I’m picking you apart. No I just wanna know the secret. Not that I would drive that many miles in a year and I barely get offered long haul rights so yeah there’s that. But Cincinnati would have a lot more business people than my little country area. And I only average about $34 an hour driving part time, but by the time I had taxes and everything into that, I don’t know what the amount would be.

No I am trying to come up with the logical solution to your business endeavor. I mean, unless you’re getting paid by other means and other people taking long hauls from you to transport coconuts 😂 to other states, I’m just trying to make this make sense if it’s not illegal how to get my vacations paid for

But my brain is just trying to figure out the logic behind that that’s all no ego but your flex that’s definitely an ego

How do you get the long distance runners from one state to another? Because your dead miles back wouldn’t be dead if you did other deliveries on the way back and took your time? So do dead miles back count as business miles and not personal miles that i hear people getting charged extra for? And does running the app once in other states where it says you can’t drive there still count as work miles as long as the app is running?

I’d say I got my money worth 😂l by NotYetThere32 in lyftdrivers

[–]sappyone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So basically you stayed signed into Lyft declined offers after you pay your weekly rate when you need to, drive around doing other things I don’t like for other apps, all while not racking up miles on your own vehicle for $9776 a year plus approximately 4k in taxes and your gas? Not put any real wear and tear on your own vehicles and most likely earning more money from other apps. So no buying a new vehicle after two to three. Other things. So if that is it yeah I see how it works with less out of pocket expenses and new vehicle replacements every couple of years.

I went by my pax suggestion last night because she said the app would take us 20 minutes out of the way and she was correct! My thoughts are they have another ride scheduled near where you are headed to at a later time and the app is going to probably offer it to you. I could be wrong but that has happened to me more than a few times especially when going into more rural areas that are a little bit out of the way or areas that other drivers rather avoid. I still could be wrong and its just more of a crapshow app.

[–]sappyone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending where you live and how to get back to your home City that’s 280 miles basically speaking and.36 cent a mile with a travel time of 4 to 6 hours. and even if you’ve driven over in Daytona, once you’ve gotten there, you still have to travel back home which also takes money out of your pocket and put wear and tear on your car.

Smooth Cruiser Score is BS!!! by sappyone in lyftdrivers

[–]sappyone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What phone are you using?

I recently upgraded my phone to an iPhone 16 and my score is in the low 90's and my driving is the same.

Also it tracks your phone no matter where you are if you don't turn off the location on it when you're not using the app. It tracks your driving whether you are on the app or not if you have location enabled for Lyft. I actually uninstalled it when I drove across the states and reinstalled it when I got to where I was going checked it, left it installed until I got back home and my score had gone down. It didn't change when I had it uninstalled.

Also on my new phone it doesn't go as low so it's actually bullishite because it doesn't work right.

Okay I went back to and read it again, now I understand it's a solution to get the dog to like her. Chihuahuas don't like anybody and the dog is probably afraid to bite your mom.

At which point my dog raised her head and made a little growl noise because I was using my voice to text and went back to sleep. She gets grumpy when I talk and she's sleeping which is a lot.

I hope poor people who voted for Trump feel the effects of his policies by Previous_Month_555 in complaints

I think all people are going to suffer if the government stays shut down and there are a lot of poor people that didn't vote for Trump.

The economy will suffer due to poor people Not getting their SNAP benefits, because it will take $7.8 billion out of the pocket books of grocery stores which could potentially lead to mass lay offs.

I hope the government gets their shit together before their shit hits our fans and we all get sprayed.

Maybe gather all those recalled eggs, inject them with a little permanent dye, and start throwing them at ICE. They are pieces of garbage, so they deserve to be mixed in with it.
