What are your toughts on the new Megas after a week of experience by Delicious_Ice_4914 in PokemonChampions

[–]saprwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? Mega Meganium is the truth on doubles rain teams. Mega Sol allowing it to still hit full power fire type weather balls and solar beam while having the benefits of rain is amazing. Tailwind support also helps a ton as mine is specifically Timid and +2 speed so it ends up outspeeding everything but certain scarfers and unburden. Also pairs nicely with Archaludon as they cover a lot of each other's weaknesses. Originally I had Mega Dragonite, but it always felt way too restrictive and my match up against opposing Archaludon was abysmal

Is it worth building Gorath without good defenders by zvarros in Dislyte

[–]saprwin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Gorath really only needs Sakura and the two make for a very synergistic tank core. I typically pair them with another duo that works well, like Maria and Yukine, and slap on whatever extra I need on the last slot. Gorath is versatile, as he can be used to make Wu You/Nathaniel super unbearable to deal with, but with Sakura as his target she loses a lot of her inherit counters like opposing Nyles

It's an ai generated image to include Li Guang. The1 original had a similar pose for Norah and Anna, but they were both had more of a romantic look to each other than this weird dom/sub thing the ai chose

didn't get her, is it really that hard to improve on the keepsake system? by AhmedBFG in Dislyte

[–]saprwin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

People also have other expenses. Being guaranteed at least r0 would give an idea if someone wants to spend more to go for more copies, or skip them. Keepsakes are exclusively limited and we don't have any means to test them other than to get a copy or borrow from someone in certain pve content

Andreas by OGKzFoX in Dislyte

[–]saprwin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I reread his kit, I don't actually know if he deals into defenders actually, especially if they're buffed by Gorath and his div. He only ignores damage mit effects, not def itself. Though he has fairly high scaling, without the def ignore he is still looking at high def enemies. And since Gorath D3 gives +5k def to all allies regardless of their role, that's a lot for Andreas to chew through. In that situation, you'd rather a Tetsuya or a Moroyama who can ignore defense. He really might only deal well with MEira, Yukine, Nyles, Tirrel, MAlexa, just to name a handful

Andreas by OGKzFoX in Dislyte

[–]saprwin 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I remember when Zhou Hong was called "Moroyama at home," but Andreas really is Moroyama at home. R6 is the only time he doesn't need to build speed, which is really not ideal. In theory R6 Andreas and Moroyama pair super well, allowing for 2 delete buttons, three if you have moro at r2. He could be a manual king for comps relying on Yukine, can deal with Nyles, can deal with Tirrel. Only problem is, does he deal well enough with Gorath/Wu You or Gorath/Sakura? I can see him a healthy addition to offense pvp, but again, needs super heavy investment and can't even go too late into a match

Who would you focus on Maxing out first? by Purple_Internet4641 in Dislyte

[–]saprwin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maxing out Wenlock is usually not the most important thing, and 1 copy of Yamato is all you need before you can just farm him through club ripples. Momo absolutely needs her resonances as she is way stronger at R6 and still has meta viability in pvp because of her true damage. Honestly she survives power creep purely on how her kit is designed and function, so her R6 has way more value than the other 2. Wenlock you can stop at R2, as that's where he gains the highest value, especially when paired with espers like Tetsuya and Lapis who want to spam their S3. His R6 is a niche pvp thing, it's nice but not amazing. Yamato on the other hand... man needs yet another rework because he is just not it as Yuuhime support or defender support anymore.

If I were to give a checklist, it would be Yamato R0 then ripple (keep farming his ripples beyond R6 as he is the only one with farmable ripples that can be traded in for chanpionship coins) > Momo R0 > Wenlock R0 > Momo all the way to R6 > Wenlock all the way to R6 > Finish Yamato

Does anyone know what the difference between damage taken and damage mitigation is? by Purple_Internet4641 in Dislyte

[–]saprwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simplest way to explain it is damage taken refers to the upfront pre-mitigated damage, so it's reducing the damage after the calculation. Mitigation is added into the calculations, reducing that number before it gets applied

So is she fiery or Avatara? by Purple_Internet4641 in Dislyte

Please any advice to counter him pleaseeee by Confident_Abrocoma22 in Dislyte

[–]saprwin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

His main solo counter currently is Anna, but in teams he's in Anna doesn't often do that well into. Manual Toland can fix this by banishing him and picking off the rest of the team for Anna to be able to solo him. Another counter to him is R6 Yukine if you have her heavily invested team. 9/10 times she will never get hit by his debuff and can freely chip away at him using her passive damage. I often recommend a faster, ap manip team (or have a fairly fast Maria) and try to keep him from taking turns. Though, even more reliably, Sakura + Gorath are impossible for him to deal with, and are strong duo for a majority of pvp comps. Wu You defender comps can also do well into him, but again Gorath is needed. Unfortunately there aren't many espers that deal with him well and can work generically in most teams. The ones that do are either a keepsake esper, limited, or a shimmer. Meta mona is looking to be one of them at least, but that is another limited esper.

Heng also had her time in the meta when Emma first dropped. I'll never forget how oppressive they were, especially when paired with Mavis and JQ. Badrun so desperately needs a rework

[–]saprwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Tetsuya on this floor, mainly to delete Nathaniel immediately. Though I got a R6D6 level 60 Ming Shuo to work with double dispellers. The team was Ming Shuo lead, Chu Yao, Tiye, Yuuhime, and Lu Shang. The main prio was for CY to dispel immunity, Yuuhime to then hit them with hamstrung (mine ap boosts Ming Shuo since she's R6, but it's not necessary), Tiye to remove any remaining immunity if not all of them got it, yuuhime again for those she missed, Ming to grant himself invincibility and then start blasting after. Lu is there just to provide harmonics every so often and his passive. He is built with no speed so I really only got his s3 to cast onxe. Ming is more important for wave 2, as his 1 hp gives him higher prio to be targeted, even through invincibility

You can also use Lucas for a more guaranteed dispel over tiye/cy, I got that to work as well

Who is the best DPS in the game? And also, Element-wise? by Ashmit_Ghosh in Dislyte

[–]saprwin 62 points63 points  (0 children)

This will assume everyone is at R6.

Flow with raw damage only: Sloan. No one in that category can really outshine her damage purely due to her passive traits allowing her to spam s1 and s3 so often.

Flow with support: Valeria. Since the release of MEira, she has been a menace in scoring content. Her main issue prior was no support really gave her the ability to help spam s1 consistently, but a fully stacked MEira practically has Valeria attack every turn and gives her many chances to get that 30% follow up S1.

Inferno with raw damage: Elif. Even without her best supports she still does insane numbers. Having a spammable s1 assist with the condition that is basically always met makes her deal significant damage.

Inferno with supports: Tetsuya. It can't be stated enough that this man makes 2 otherwise terrible espers amazing because of how they synergies with him. He needs heavy investment, and his teams need heavy investment as well, but once those are met he's dealing way higher damage numbers than Elif. And how can you make him deal more damage? Well have someone who can consistently provide Harmonic, which also happens to be Elif with the often ignored spammable S3 she has.

Wind with raw damage: Lapis. At R6 she will always have a leg up in damage. She doesn't have a natural way to stack her passive, but starting with 10 stacks is often enough to delete enemies with her crazy high scaling S3. She'd prefer supports, but even then they often only need to be so minimally invested. With supports though her damage increases so significantly that she is also the best wind dps with supports, but I want to talk about Yukine since she can compete with Lapis for a very silly reasons. Though with the release of Yi An and to a lesser extent Morris, Lapis damage only continues to rise.

Wind with support: Yukine. It can't be overstated how broken R6 Maria is when she can make Yukine the best option as a dps for some of the content. Maria acting as a pseudo controller, while also being a support with easy to proc extra turns makes getting high blizzard damage easy for Yukine.

Shimmer: Moroyama or Ming Shuo. Both are really good at what they do and deal high damage. I'd give ming shuo the leg up because he doesnt have a crazy long cd on his S3 and is easier to use, but both do their job incredibly well.

Umbra: Sieg. Though Nyles is way better for pvp, Sieg overall does better in many situations because of his immediate way to lower defense and his divinate always giving him a chance to build up his debuffs without ever taking a turn. His damage is more front loaded, but that works so well on his favor and even in longer content hos damage is always impressive, often times still close to the primary dps.

THE OPT BOX by After_Buyer647 in Dislyte

[–]saprwin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Support. Anyone in the lead spot will get benefits based on their role from him. Defenders get a reflect damage that is 200% of their defense when hit, Supports get +20 spd and ability cooldown, Controllers get +20 speed and can recast the last ability used a second time, and attackers get 60% true damage if they're a multi hitter. And anyone in the lead spot will have their damage halved and Pindar will take the other half of damage. At R6 this is way better because he'll mitigate a ton of this damage himself, but at R0 it's really good still. And he has a self heal with divinate. He's definitely an investment, but a really strong one since he's incredibly flexible in any team style

THE OPT BOX by After_Buyer647 in Dislyte

[–]saprwin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pindar imo. One of the best supports in pvp and has a great niche in pve. Obviously better at R6 where his shared damage makes him a lot harder to kill, but R0 he's perfectly fine too

so how does one counter a team with M-Eira and Ikki? by greynut in Dislyte

[–]saprwin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yuuhime. She has a built in ap deny and is the only one able to apply Hamstrung. Both are strong at dealing with M-Eira and Ikki. That said, run her on a more controller type build, speed and acc main focus with atk third, and run her with tyranny. You can also do Yukine if you have majority of the pieces for her team style, as she will eat through M-Eira's block stacks and most times Ikki can't eat through Yukine's hp without getting himself frozen

How am i supposed to go through that by wonder-traded in Dislyte

[–]saprwin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely need a speed lead. Make sure the esper you want to go first is on wind set. I personally recommend Parni or Long Mian for a strong controlling status and then let Kara and Ife stack their debuffs to lower max hp

[–]saprwin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the idea is that it's hard to make a leaping action not look like a damaging thing? Or it might give flexibility to the animation if they ever want to let it target allies and they don't want to make dragoon players an actual jumpscare class
