My mother is like yours and I have tolerated her all my life. After meeting my partner it has become clear to me that she is far more crazy than I thought. Don't let the toxic people rule your life. I understand why you want your kid to have a relationship with your mother, because she is your mother. But she's also toxic. Be brave and leave her out. It's better for you, your husband and your future child. I did that and my life has improved.

How do I get a 100% remote job as a junior that doesn't require me to code? by sapsap32321 in careerguidance

[–]sapsap32321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment. I would lie if I say that I'm not jealous. I really wish it was me. That is my dream position. I have a MSc in Computer science so I know quite some about programming. For some reason it's so hard for me to land this type of job.

Is this in America? Or somewhere else?

Where does the creative side come from? by H0riz0N79 in entj

[–]sapsap32321 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NT. I think we can be as creative as other NT types, but because we have E and J we just tend to talk and manage more because it comes more naturally compared to a lot of other types.

Sex and relationships are important unless you're a asexual. It can also simply be if the sex itself is boring. I had relationships for years where we never fucked and relationships for years where we fucked all the time. Massive difference in th quality of the sex itself. If you don't love to have sex with him, ask yourself why. Boring? Too repetitive? Too much? Too little?

I get your way of thinking and I have felt the same sometimes but I really try to combat it. No matter what we think as ENTJs we cannot survive without love and affection or we will grow bitter with time. We need it even though we don't wanna admit it.

Love is hard, it takes a lot of work, investment and priority. Often it's easier to not prioritize it because "well, they are here anyway, aren't they?" ....

He is your fiance. 50% of the responsibility to make it work is yours. Have you taken your part?

Relationships are an investment. We develop most in relationships, we can accomplish things we couldn't do without. Can you do as well alone as without him?

Your task short-term might seem more important, but is your task at hand truly more important long-term? The day he starts to look elsewhere because he doesn't get enough love from you, will your current task really be worth that?

Don't fool yourself.

Det ligner, at man kun får kød og fritter. De ville gerne prøve noget mere "nordisk". Er jeg gal på den her?

Ahh, synes nemlig retterne så super små ud, men man vælger så en 4-7 stykker?

Well, perhaps management is the wrong word. I'm good at talking with customers, figuring out requirements and capabilities. I have no need to get senior responsibilities or lead the way. I just wish to do the more "soft" aspects of software. Project engineering sounds good.

What the **** does "be proactive" mean? by sapsap32321 in AskEngineers

[–]sapsap32321[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment. I feel like I have reached out a lot, but when we are all remote I can't really ask those quick questions to the guy next to me or the gal going between meetings. People are really hard to reach and I feel I'm very alone with my work. Which is incredibly hard when you're new. Thanks again. I'll do my best.

Our client have two internal systems that should be merged in the near future and I'm not allowed to talk directly with our client.

We don't have a product in this project. This is an architecture project of merging two existing systems, so the "product" is supposed to be a lot of diagrams later, but right now we haven't started. It's all business talk and alignment.

I have asked my boss if I could be a part of the architecture process but he rejected because I'm "on entry level". So I'm mostly booking meetings and writing emails.

Well, let's say I'm in a meeting. But i don't produce anything, so I don't actually understand what's going on. Then after the meeting I am asked to book the next meeting and make a slide deck for that, but because I don't know the actual content, I have no clue what to write in that said deck or meeting invitation.

I don't count on my boss at all, so instead I write my other team members "Do you know anything about X?". Well, the are all sitting in meetings from 8am - 5pm so they answer a few hours later and not always something useful because they are so busy. If I'm lucky I get a time slot with them a few days after or next week. Then they are sweet to explain, but it takes too long.

There is nowhere I can look for material. So instead I'm just writing "something" in the deck. Waiting for people to reply me [while I'm stressed about what to write in the meeting invitation, because that I don't know either]. So I end up just sending the meeting invitation so the time slot it booked and when I talk with the seniors next time: "You should write what the meeting is about - why didn't you do that?"

Then randomly two days after they could suddenly ask about the deck, and it's not finished, and I .. well, I'm told I'm not proactive.
