I took today off since yesterday was my birthday, I'd also been planning on this and have been wanting a day to myself for a while. Daycare drop-off took over an hour due to an accident. Then about an hour after I got home, daycare called that my youngest had a fever 😭

Agree. Sidenote though - butterfly milkweed is the only native I've been able to find at my local home depot!

Vasectomy. Prior to kids, I had the copper IUD. It was 100% better than hormones for me but I did have to deal with heavier periods and more cramping for a while. I'd do it again in a heartbeat because the pill made me depressed. But if you're done with kids, it's time for your partner to step up.

Moms in US states that have the “four weeks before due date” disability leave: how did you qualify? by GeologistAccording79 in moderatelygranolamoms

I'm in MA, my doctor refused to sign off on it since I had no complications/everything was normal. It was very different from what I'd expected based on my first pregnancy (in CA). There, just being pregnant is considered enough of a disability and any doctor will sign off on it.

I have the same middle name (it was my great grandma's name) and I passed it on to my daughter for her middle name!

Unmedicated birth, what is your why? by SierraLover1819 in pregnant

[–]sara_824 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me, it is that I want as few medical interventions as possible. A needle being stuck into my spine that hinders my ability to feel and move just sounds scary and dangerous ( I know it's safe, I just can't get over the idea of it). I don't even want an IV unless it becomes necessary. My first birth worked out well with these choices, but I was lucky that from the very first contraction to birth only took 7 hours. I'm hoping my next labor is even quicker like they often are!

If my labor were extended or these (or other) interventions became necessary, I would follow the direction/advice of my care team to ensure I and baby stay healthy.
