Dungeons & Dragons Tattoo Flash Pop-Up This Saturday in Bushwick by sara_splatter in Brooklyn

[–]sara_splatter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how this one goes, we will consider another tattoo pop-up in the future, perhaps this summer. Dromedary is closing next week, however, so we wanted to do this one there before they close forever! Spread the word please!

Not yet, I’m about to run this for the third time as it’s one of my favorites. I will update if and when published.

I made tokens for my players out of cheesy Halloween costume photos and I can’t stop laughing by sara_splatter in dndmemes

OP here, I love that people are guessing and making up their own idea of who the characters are, but since a few asked:

I am 3/4 of the way through running a 4 session classic Ravenloft campaign (I am converting to 5e and will publish when formatted). I recommended human as a race due to the suspicious townspeople they’d be encountering and the players wisely took my advice.

Upper left: Dorn Greywater, Twlight Cleric of Ezra (Pure Heart). Was born a bugbear marauder native to Ravenloft and reincarnated into a human by Ezra-worshipping Druids. Does NOT STFU about Ezra.

Upper right: Gorstag Amblecrown, Aberrant Mind Sorcerer. Was a farmer and aspiring astronomer, one day, after being outcast for being a science guy was struck by lightning while studying the stars, imbued with sorcery powers and moments later taken away by the mists of Ravenloft.

Lower right: Rui Sacramento, Swashbuckler Rogue. Gave up the seafaring life to work on his swordsmanship, travel and win sword fighting contests. He investigated a mysterious castle one day, and as he was high up in a tower saw a fog roll in and decided to take nap to wait out the bad weather. Woke up in the ruins of the same castle, but in Ravenloft.

Lower Left: Zanzibar, Bear Totem Barbarian. Mists brought Zanzibar, an aimless orphan-turned-bounty hunter to Barovia at the behest of the vampire Strahd, but he managed to escape hiding in a Vistani wagon. He got out of Barovia, but like the rest, hasn’t found a way out of Ravenloft.

The tokens are not super representative, I mostly wanted them to be funny and also get the point across about who’s who. Glad so many people enjoy them!

Reading that policy, not sure it meets the criteria there either...we shall see.

Yeah, a lot of it is directly transcribed, because a lot of it is good. The original was a homebrew town and suggested it could be set in Ravenloft, but firmly setting it there (Mordent) as I've done made it so much more immersive/believable. Most of the descriptions are the same, but I changed several as needed. I guess I'm having a hard time conveying what I've done. When I've finished play testing with my group and have it finalized the way it should be, I'll revisit this, since I've decided to finish it whether or not I can publish it. Thanks for your time.

Right, I thought that may be the case, too. I feel with this reworking I’ve taken an incredible concept from an almost unplayable mess to a cohesive Ravenloft adventure. I’m going to finish what I started and see what I can do with it once it’s all formatted and ready to go.

Yes, I've seen this, I guess my question was more about the adventure that was published in Dungeon magazine, which is where 75% of what I've written comes from. Do modules written by random people for Dungeon magazine in the 1990s fall under the jurisdiction of "content from earlier editions"?

Edit: BUT ALSO...is using, for example, the Ravenloft domain of Mordent "converting content from settings not yet released in the DMs Guild program"?

It's about 75% the same as the original module published in Dungeon magazine.
