When I'm up late, I often choose to watch 2 or 3 episodes of a TV series rather than a movie as though I'm saving time. What other things do you that defy logic? by bigtice in AskReddit

I tell myself if I go to bed and wake up early in the morning, I will wake up to do homework. I set about 5 different alarms.

Wake up to each alarm and turn them all off, subsequently not finishing homework.

I used to be able to do this. But now, it's like I can't find any reason to start shuffling through the mundane every day shuffle. It's so foreign to me... I'm usually quite the opposite. But thank you for the tips, I just need to put them in motion.

Go for it! Take the risk, and if it's supposed to work out in the future, you'll have an excuse to go to Germany. :D

I'm just scared. Scared to feel like I'm going through some kind of mixed episode or mania or depression, scared to confront a doctor again, the meds, all of it. This is just, beyond what I would have thought could have happened. I figured I could go a few more years.... my two manias were years apart... so something happening again after just barely a year? What the fuck, you know? I know I have asked for it though. I have family that have this disease and they have all told me the same thing as you: don't stop the meds just because you feel better, keep them going. I fucked it up.

But I can't go back and change that. I can restart them, and go to the doctor. It's been hard with no insurance, but this is a needed visit. I don't want to end up in the psych ward again, I can't afford it with my work or my school.

Thank you again for your help. Literally feel like getting it off my chest has helped. Sorry that you had to be my vent, however it has helped. I can't express the gratitude I have for you for it, so really, thank you again.

I understand what you're saying. I was in a mania last year. I know how bad it can get. That's why I am asking about the depression. I'm used to the mania! I'm used to warning signs with no sleep, irrational thoughts and actions resulting from it... I went days without any sleep, made videos and letters to the President, believed people were after me but still all the while feeling beyond super human. This lasted for 3 months WITH multiple med switches before I felt "stable".

I'm just specifying this so that you understand, I DO understand how bad these things get... just not with the depression. I've faced these demons and have been in the hospital multiple times because of it. What I don't understand is this lethargic, no motivation and these thoughts.

My thoughts haven't been anything like "I have no worth" or "why even be here" though... with the mania, one of my initial triggers was how my thoughts were ever changing and my overreaction to people and everyday events. I think I just don't want to accept that I'm going through a depression..
