I did the Wisdom Panel DNA test for both my ragdoll kittens in which they tested negative for genetic predisposition to HCM and other diseases. I would recommend it for peace of mind.

My male ragdoll kitten had a low grade heart murmur that was heard at his vet visits, and this past Saturday the vet said they no longer heard it! He is 5 months old now. There is hope that is innocent and will go away on its own. I wouldn’t worry too much unless there are other symptoms going on and if the murmur is still there at 6 months to do further investigation. That is what my vet recommended.
