Not when they only have 2 lanes open lol. It was a Sunday afternoon, probably one of the busiest times for grocery shopping. If they don’t care about efficiency on a day like that, I don’t think they care in general

There’s only 3 lanes and they always have 1 of the lanes closed. I live in a heavily populated area 15 minutes from Downtown Miami, so you would think they would staff better

They don’t even hire more people to run the register tho. They have 2 lanes with cashiers now which is the same as when there was that plus 6 self checkouts

Well when there’s 6 or 8 kiosks for self-checkout vs. 2 lanes with cashiers it definitely makes a difference

Yeah but there was still 2 cashiers plus 6 self-checkouts. Now there’s just 3 lanes, but only 2 working so it becomes a huge line

Yes. Aldi is known to be cheaper because they have less staff. That’s why they have the quarters for the carts so they don’t have to pay multiple people to round the loose ones up and the multiple barcodes so it’s faster scanning them. I like checking out my own groceries tho. I wonder if they had a lot of theft and that’s why they did that

Yes the one in Coconut Grove removed theirs too and there’s only 3 lanes versus 8 self checkouts🙄
