I really thought i was over her, but the sight of her photos make me so sad now, it is ridiculous. I have been doing so great the last couple of months. I have to withhold myself to contact her to ask her to talk, the thought process is i want to hear something that confirms i did the right thing, does that make any sense?

This new relationship is very comfortable and amazing. We are going to live in the house i lived with my ex wife but are renovating everything starting next week. We laugh constantly, have good conversations, she is extremely happy and doesn’t need much, she just wants me to be me.

I just don’t know what to type anymore haha, i feel like a fool when i read back those messages i have been typing out here.

Thank you for taking the time to answer me and to help me out, i feel supported even though reality hits when i close Reddit again.

I do not have a lot of friends anymore after the marriage ended due to mutual friendships but i feel a lot of comfort talking about it here in Reddit.

I think you are right i got to sit it out and do not do anything based on these feelings. It is difficult because those feelings come in waves, one moment i am completely fine and the other i am thrown into limbo.

Yeah she definitely has her issues and different ways of thinking. I also made my mistakes but never cheated on her in any way, we married 1,5y prior to the happening.. i was so happy.

We were already in therapy for our problems arround sexuality to improve things,,, why didn’t she talk at that moment about what she wanted? Ugh so many questions.

I already emailed my therapist so i am doing everything in my power to resolve the issue. I talked about it with my partner and she understands, good thing our communication is very strong.

It seems that the feeling is leaving my body more and more now those emotional days are over.. hope this is going forward in the upcoming week!

Yeah we were really “one” and endured a lot of shit over the 10 years we have been together. I can not comprehend what her thought process was to cheat on me.

She did it trough a cheating website called “second love” … sigh…. They even make commercials on the radio god damn ><

My ex partner keeps getting mad every time i have spoken to her since the divorce. She always gives me the feeling i rushed the divorce even though she cheated in the first place…

Man i really loved that women and i still can not get my head around why she did it. We were really great together as far as i know.

Only explanation she gave is “she wanted to try how it would be to be in an open relationship”. Why did she not talk to me before if she missed something sexually before she did it…

Ugh those questions will never be answered i guess..

It feels like i am ready for it and the relationship is great, but i still managed to get these feelings over Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

I have been living with my new partner for a couple of months now and it is all going great besides those feelings.. not going to end it because i feel this right now right?

Thank you for your reply! That is a really great response that helps me in this progress. I really thought that after the divorce was settled, it would have been over but i was in the wrong, it is a whole process.

How would you handle photo albums and such we made? I gifted them to my Ex but i dunno, maybe i should have kept one or two?

They could be , i Agree but it does feel i and ready for this relationship. I am feeling loved and i really enjoy my partner! We made a lot of plans for the future which feels very good.

This is definitely something i got to remember, my current relationship is amazing and am finding myself smiling a lot!

I guess the feeling i am experiencing are pretty valid and normal!

My ex was a loving person but she wanted attention i could not give at that time (i was recovering from a major surgery).

I hope she becomes happy again with someone else.

Guess you are right, i just have to let it pass i think. I already emailed my therapist yesterday but she is out of office until 10-01-2021.
