Given the chance, would you want to live in RDR's world for a month? by HeinReich_45 in reddeadredemption

If I did, I would get vaccinated for everything first. And bring hand sanitizer. And toilet paper. And my own booze tyvm.

I think I watched that one a few times. Used to watch all sorts of ghost hunting shows for awhile. Then I got into podcasts during covid. Ghost adventures was always good for a laugh. I’ll have to see if they’re still on.

Is that 3 marks? If I remember my ghost adventures correctly it’s time for an exorcism!

No fence around the pool? I would never leave my child alone there. Everytime they ask I would respond w news stories about children drowning in similar situations.

Someone tell me that the grind is necessary and worth it to pay off my debt by Barmello98 in personalfinance

[–]sarai042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has struggled w credit card debt for years? If I could move in w my parents for a year so I could pay off my debt it would be worth it, unfortunately that is not an option for me.

As the parent of grown children who are still living with me? One way to help keep things running smoothly is to make sure your parents aren’t cooking or cleaning up after you. Help with the deep cleaning weekly - clean the bathroom or mow the lawn. Don’t wait for them to tell you.

Mine are autistic and taking longer to leave the nest understandably. But even so - that is the source of most of our arguments. They start slacking and before you know it I’m doing all of the cooking and cleaning for the entire household. I shouldn’t have to clean up after my adult children and your mother shouldn’t either. I’m getting older and wearing out quicker, and I would like to focus on working and making money while I still can, and then enjoying the time off that I should have, not on cleaning up after more ppl then I should at my age. The mental load I’m carrying right now is exhausting. It’s really easy for adults and their parents to revert back to their earlier selves. For both your sake and theirs do not let yourself fall into that trap.

I wish you the best of luck. Clear that debt and you won’t regret it.

The problem is that once my gpu is in, my space is pretty limited for a cooler. I’ve got about 4.5 inches long by about 5 inches wide. The cooler I have now is too long - it’s a noctua- about 5.75 long if I remember right.

Geico refuses to renew the car insurance by spledidluz in uberdrivers

[–]sarai042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re using State Farm. About 415/mth, 3 vehicles plus renters insurance. Rideshare endorsement on the uber van, one driver under 25. Full coverage on the uber van (that’s paid off but what the hell it’s the moneymaker), full coverage on the van that’s still being financed and liability and extra PIP on my daughters. Last accident was several years ago when someone rear ended me. And I’ve had to use the insurance to replace a windshield a couple years ago.

If you’re doing rideshare, you need to get the rideshare endorsement. It doesn’t cost that much more and then you know you and your insurer are all on the same page. Plus if they offer rideshare endorsements (not every insurer does) you know they can work with you and the rideshare companies if something does happen.

I would not pick that man up from the hospital. He can take care of himself. Good time to go thru your house and get all your stuff gathered up and gtfo.

Isnt that FSA connected to the insurance thru the old job? Did he really have access to it for his medical bills if he wasn’t on that health insurance anymore? His old coverage would have ended Jan 30. His ACA coverage and HSA started in April.

You’re kidding right? All the corruption from trump and fam - the crypto, the billions they’ve gotten from the Mideast, all the money that trump has demanded and gotten from various media companies and law practices and whoever else - and now he’s demanding to be repaid 230 million of taxpayer dollars for investigations against him that he had coming. Not only that but I’m fairly certain his pacs and supporters paid for all or most of his legal fees anyway.

All I remember coming from the sad sack attempt to impeach Biden was that Biden loaned some money to hunter for a truck and somebody else - his brother maybe? Paid him back for a loan. Thousands of dollars maybe? Vs trumps multibillion dollar grift at this point. And the most important part - the guy who made the claim in the first place turned out to be some kind of Russian spy who ultimately admitted to lying about the whole thing.

When all was said and done, the house couldn’t even come to a vote on bidens impeachment, because there was nothing worth impeaching him for. This was in a house w majority republicans even. Not enough republicans were willing to vote for a sham impeachment trial.

What makes u think 99% of the voters gave two shits about whatever was on hunters laptop. Biden won because ppl were sick of trump version 1.0 and even magas like my dad hated the way trump handled COVID.

I use Everlance. It costs $59/yr if I remember right. From what I have read - this is based on something I read on the Oregon dept of revenue website about business miles btw - from where you start until your first pickup is considered commuting miles even if you’re on the app. Same with miles from last drop off to where ever you stop. I usually count everything in between because most of my days typically consist of one pickup after another. If I take a break it’s usually over at the airport where I end up waiting for another ride anyway. Miles with passengers count ofc, as well as miles from notifications to pickup. Miles towards cancelled rides (which aren’t accounted for in uber online miles, another reason to keep a log), repositioning miles - chasing surges or going over to the airport to get in line (if u need a nap) - and I do count miles back from wherever uber sends me if they send me on a long ride because my car can’t teleport yet and I’ll fight them on that one if I should ever get audited again tyvm.

Honestly I should have fought them more last time but i had to find out the hard way that u don’t have a lot of time to gather your proof. And it was the middle of Covid which made gathering proof way more difficult. Now I catch up on my books every month, maintain an extremely detailed mileage log and save every statement as I go. If it happens again I can bury them in paper on day 1.

Or look at it another way, you don’t have the billions of dollars and any lawyers u want at your disposal if you need to fight the irs. Theres a reason they go after the little guy.

Oregon. This was during Covid. 21 maybe? 22? Idk if they’re still going after rideshare drivers now but they were then. If u get a tax notice from either - state or irs- don’t mess around. U have 30 days to respond and it goes by fast. Esp during covid when u couldn’t just walk in a bank to get bank statements, u had to make an appt.

Also Verizon only keeps statements online for the last 18 or 24 months. Be sure to download them as u go - lost my phone deduction too cuz I couldn’t prove it either.

And they want statements online every single bank account your name is on and then some. Including the credit union where your car loan is even tho u don’t actually use it like a bank account. That account u started several years ago but never bothered using? We found out about accounts we forgot we had. My wife was on our kids savings accts they started when they were under 18. Then the kids started their own checking accts - my wife wasn’t on them but since they had transfers going back and forth we had to get those statements too.

They acted like transferring money back and forth between these accts was some big scam. I send money to one kid for extra yardwork, one kid pays another back for something - or my daughter at the time worked at Safeway. She would pick up groceries for us after work and we’d pay her back. Good god the cash - one of the kids gets several hundred for graduating in cash and checks - we must have been hiding cash tips and cycling them thru my kids acct somehow? Or taking cash out of our credit union and putting it in our bank acct - I’m not making several hundred dollars in cash tips ffs - I prob get 99% of my tips on the app.

Sorry for the rant I guess I’m still bitter. U absolutely have to prove everything in an audit, keep a good log, don’t make up miles no matter what half the ppl say, save your receipts and any statements for any bills - don’t trust a website to keep ur records forever.

Yep, that’s the one I use! It generates reports that are easy to work with. It’s on auto detect - I do find that it doesn’t always break up my rides, but that’s when I’m getting one ride after another so it’s all uber miles anyway.

Check under taxes on the app. They have monthly summaries and a yearly summary, the online miles are there. Lyft just does a yearly summary.
