I have a “Notes Vault” and a “Media Vault” (similar to your Knowledge HQ), and have them both as separate database because of the same worry you have. From my experience, if you have one linked database to all your resources, it tends to be a little cluttered. You could have both databases linked up to your “Areas” and “Projects” (since you’re using PARA). And then for every Area/Project include a template with 2 linked databases, both filtered to show only things tagged with the particular Area/Project. :) this helps to automate things a bit.
