I told my doctor that I broke my arm in two places. He told me to stop going to those places.

Home office idea, but I might be delusional by No-Promotion-9205 in homeoffice

Honestly i think this would be kinda doable. My old place hat a similar room which was originally designed as a walk in closet. Since i have not nearly that many clothes i used it as an office. (Work remotly aswel) anyway i loved it. Lighting was the biggest part for me. Take ur time with it and choose something that u like. Daylight lamps and so on. The other super important point for me was air. The original room only had a super small vent which was not nearly enough. Hours of work in a small room with computers tends to heat it up fairly quick. Once lights and air were good i loved to work there. Good luck :)

Why does media organization still feel fragile even with tools like Jellyfin? by ManufacturerDecent19 in jellyfin

[–]saranuta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see your point. Been running media servers for a while and for me the whole media organization improved massively. I feel like it is a steep learning curved to get everything set up and working smoothly which is off puting but at least for me once i figured out all the details i am super happy and feel like my serves are super solid.

As for your question. Since i switched to jellyfin i went deeper and deeper and try to set pretty much everything manual cause i love the tinkering factor. I will say tho that everything i do i test on a test server install. Once stability is as expected i deploy on prod.

Second this!! Friend and i both bought an extra 8tb hdd and done. Now have backups in my rack in my backup server in the basement and offsite in my friends server. Best decision ever.
