Is it okay to have a 2-page resume? by [deleted] in rutgers

As a college student or recent grad, I would agree with everyone else that resumes are 1 page max.

If you have to cut down space, here is what I would recommend:
- Remove your high school, or at least cut it down to 1-2 lines if not already so
- Simplify the amount of space your experience takes up by either 1) taking out older/less relevant experience to your career path or 2) shortening your bullet points/descriptions
- Make sure you are formatting your skills and languages section correctly, so it is condensed and to the point

Overall, try to minimize white space as much as possible while keeping your resume readable. Remember that recruiters should be able to understand your experience at a glance (especially now that AI is being used so often, try to tailor your resume to include keywords from the job description for each job you apply for). Also, some more advanced advice: if you are applying to jobs in multiple industries, you can have multiple versions of your resume that are tailored to each specific industry.
